Food tracking - yes or no?
Im interested to know who tracks their food whether it’s loosely or precisely, and who eats intuitively but makes the right choices? -
I’ve religiously used @myfitnesspal for about 7 years 😮 crazy I know. But I rely on it to count my calories and macros because i know without that tracking I’d probably eat double what I do now (I’m somehow who is literally permanently hungry) but I’m always envious of those who don’t track and just manage their food by intuition. I do though think as I train alot it’s good to know I’m getting in enough carbs for energy and protein for recovery :) -

The wall facing squat
.
A fantastic warm up exercise to improve mobility and balance. The perfect warm up exercise especially when preparing for squats and deadlifts. It encourages the correct weight distribution and prepares the body for the work ahead.

Stand facing a wall with your nose and toes against it. Your feet should be slightly wider than shoulder width with your feet angled out very slightly.
.
Squat down as far as possible with your arms out to the side flat against the wall.
.
With each rep, you should be able to drop a little farther.
.
Perform 3 sets of 10-15 reps every day until you can drop your hips below your knees.

FUNCTIONAL TRAINING MADE FUN😁
STRAIGHT ARM PLANK & PUSHUP WORKOUT:
Adding these two moves into your regular workout routine can help you sculpt and tone your body faster.

THE PLANK is most commonly known as an abdominal exercise and THE PUSH-UP is known to strengthen the chest and shoulders.

PLANK ADVANTAGES: The plank works more than your core, it tests your arm strength and lower body stamina.
PUSH-UP ADVANTAGES: The push-up uses muscles from head to toe (shoulders, arms, core, glutes, quads, back) not just the upper body. ■The combination of these two efficient exercises allows you to challenge your entire body in the least amount of time.■ HOW TO DO IT:
1. Get in a straight-arm plank position.
2. Keep a set of corns (say about 30) and place it on the ground equivalent to both your arms.
3. Take out one corn with your right hand and place it to the right side of your arm then do a pushup.
4. Do the same with your left hand and then do a pushup.
5. Keep doing the same alternately until all the corns placed in the middle are placed to the either sides of your arms.
6. Repeat the same and place the corns on the either sides of your arms back in the middle (like in the starting). MY WORKOUT:
30-40 corns in between = 30-40 pushups and straight arm planks

BEGINNER'S WORKOUT:
10-15 corns in between = 10-15 pushups and straight arm planks

今井亮介(@ryo_wonderyers)さんの、強度の違う3本のチューブ全てを使った「ファンクショナルトレーニング論の運動における4本の柱」の投稿をヒントに、クロール用にアレンジしてみた🏊‍♂️
クロールのスプリントで、ローテーションと連動せず腕だけをブンブン回したり、リカバリー時も力みによって腕から手先を固めてしまい前方へのスムーズな体重移動ができていないスイマーは少なくないと感じます。
スマーターキットの特徴の一つである上腕部に連結させるチューブにより、近位からの筋力発揮はもちろん、後方からの張力に耐えることによって、体幹部の筋活動を増やした状態でキックのタイミングも合わせてるので、水中での連動を再現できているかと。コルスーツを装着して行なうことで、コアの安定と腰椎の過剰伸展防止が望めます👍
脳にはよい信号を送ることができていると感じるので、理想は水中スプリント練習と組み合わせて(左右8回ずつ+25mスプリントなど)取り組んでみたい。陸上のスーパーセットで行なう場合は、ローテーションスクワットなど胸椎と股関節回旋のあるトレーニングと相性が良さそう🤔
