Food was making me sick.
For years, I had inflammation in my body, so badly that I was ill all day, every day. I suffered from chronic migraines, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances and problems conceiving- even miscarriages.
Over the last 3 years, I had contemplated going vegetarian/vegan to see if my body respond better. A year ago, I cut out most animal products, with the exception of a little bit of dairy on occasion. My digestive system was getting better. I was feeling healthier. But I was still having migraines. So I started an elimination diet, cutting out wheat first. Within a couple of weeks, the migraines were gone. I was wheat sensitive. Actually, I was glyphosate sensitive.
Chemicals were wreaking havoc in my body.
I became plant based, adding in some non GMO wheat products (mostly imported from Europe), and my body changed.
Fun fact. Did you know that Europe does not allow chemicals in their food products? It’s all organic. Period.
I spent 3 weeks in Europe in 2017. I ate everything. Every. Single. Thing. The foods I knew I couldn’t eat in the United States. The foods I feared were going to rip me to shreds, and throw me in to a loop of inflammation and migraines. And guess what? That is the best I’ve felt in all of my life.
Friends. We have got to do better. We have to do better for ourselves. We have to do better for our future generations.
Stop letting your body feel terrible. There is a world out there that cares about the food system. You. Deserve. Better.
