I am feeling SO GOOD right now, my weight isn’t out of control and mentally I’m not driving myself crazy every time I see a donut but at the same time I’m able to control myself when it comes to things I haven’t had in a while. ◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️
My training style coming out of this show is also very delicate in the way that I’m pushing myself but not to the limits I would if I was in offseason, I feel strong but I’m building up at a steady pace and that’s going to help with injury prevention.

🚨 I find it very important to have a pre-activation set or warmup set before you hit your workout sets depending on which muscles you’re hitting 🚨 Pre-activation sets, warmup sets, has many benefits. Benefits such as an increase delivery of oxygen & nutrients, prepares you mentally for the upcoming exercise, improves coordination & reaction times. Changing things up a bitπŸ™When doing back exercises it’s great to do one arm at a time. What most people don’t know is that when you bring your shoulder closer to your hip, your lat contracts more. So when doing one arm at a time you can really bend your torso to get a better contraction! After single arm I threw in some forced negatives!πŸ€™-

Technique - (Swipe left)

After researching it, I can put my back flexion down to having the bar too far away from my shins/body. .
This is increasing the range of motion for the movement and I’m reliant on my Erectors/lower back a lot.

Instead the bar should be closer to me, which will be made possible by:

Slightly increasing the width of my stance &
Leaning my centre of gravity away from the bar slightly and then setting the hips before the lift.
.
This will allow me to engage my posterior chain and use it to complete the pull.

I’m sure a lot of you have heard that most successful people have a version of a morning routine, one that will set them up for success for the day ahead, and you’ve also might have heard that if you don’t have one then you’re setting yourself up for failure.

I’m a big fan because it’s the time that I give to myself each & every day, it’s the time I get to focus on my health, my goals, I get to enjoy that part of my day without falling victim to social media, text messages, emails, etc. and I really feel it puts me into a state of focus and allows me to own the day before the day owns me.

So many people, and I used to be this way, the first thing they do is reach over and grab their phone and start scrolling away, or checking emails, etc. which you are now giving away your time and energy to other people and the internet before giving to yourself first.

I want to make a point in saying that a morning routine doesn’t have to be perfect or long, but it does have to add value to your life- so waking up, getting ready to go to work, grabbing a quick breakfast and coffee as you walk out the door isn’t a morning routine. I’m talking about focused time you are giving to yourself each day.
β€’
Now if you’re already saying β€œI’m too busy” or β€œI don’t have time”, that’s exactly why you need one. But if you’re really sold on those excuses, then this isn’t for you. I’m here to coach and educate only those seeking personal growth.

About 4-5 years ago, when I was still teaching, I started incorporating different activities into my day because I needed something for me that made me feel good about myself, and that allowed me to have something to look forward to each day, because if you know my story, you also know that I hated teaching. I would have the worst anxiety before I went into work every morning, so having something that allowed me to put my focus elsewhere was huge in making me feel better about my upcoming day.

Gotta show you guys the not so good side of training too, with that being said...
1. I was supposed to do 5x6 but ended on a πŸ’© note with 3 reps on my final set. Hit the rack on the second rep which made me misgroove, but no excuses.
2. Everytime I put wrist wraps on it messes my set up, soooo if you don’t need equipment don’t put it on just for shits and giggles, or if you don’t train with the equipment don’t use it towards the end of your meet prep if you don’t need it.
3. Hit these sets on 50 grams of carbs, and at a new low weigh in of 170.2!

Another big goal for me was to reach 93.5kg after I reached 95.5kg and have once again smashed another personal goal of mine and got 0.2kg less than my goal.

UPDATE: I'm at 177lbs! That's pretty crazy for me because I literally don't remember the last time I've seen that on the scale. I lost 10lbs in 3 weeks ( May 26th - June 16th) I didn't do anything crazy and I didn't do crazy running! That was just from consistency with my meals & walking. I have to drop 12 pounds in 47 days so I'm pretty confident that I'll be able to do that but Hopefully I'll have the definition i want at 165! Video tonight

Back again with another terrible bench day πŸ˜… lol. I know RPE is all about understanding that some days are just not your days and it makes sense. After having a heavy deadlift and squat sesh earlier this week, it makes sense that 275 didn’t move at a RPE of 7 like it usually would. But you just gotta go go with it! There were many factors that affected my lifts yesterday but it is what it is! At the end, you can see me smiling because my warm up felt so good leading up to that point so it caught me off guard. lol, smh.

Kreuzheben war an dem Tag eher enttΓ€uschend. HΓ€tte deutlich mehr erwartet, aber trotzdem bin ich mit meiner Leistung zufrieden. Form war auch nicht die beste. Zumindest im zweiten Versuch mit 155 Kg. Bin leicht eingerundet, weil es mir ziemlich schwer gefallen ist mit GΓΌrtel Spannung aufzubauen. Hab sonst immer ohne gehoben.
