We all know that we should be drinking more water. The truth is that most of us are dehydrated on a daily basis. The truth is also that your body uses water to maintain your temperature, lubricate your joints, remove waste, and maintain blood volume. It is also what transports nutrients to all of your organs, cells, and tissues. Water is kind of a big deal!
The golden rule of thumb is to daily drink half of your body weight in ounces. However, I believe that it is Bio-Individual. We are all different, some are more active than others as well as our diet is different so some get more water through their diet than others.
Therefore, I recommend paying attention to how much water you drink and how you feel. Start out with half your body weight in oz and then experiment with more or less to find the quantity that feels right for you. For me, I have found that when I drink 80oz a day, I feel my best, which is a little over half my body weight in oz.
