Happy Monday everyone 😄 I’m back!! I enjoyed my second hiatus from Instagram. There was no particular reason for the break, just felt ready for another week off from posting, managing followers etc etc. Surprising how much more time I had 🤔
So news from my week off:
I found out my race time from the Bahrain marathon relay. I did 3k in 13.56 seconds which was quicker than all my training sessions so happy with that...
I signed up for the Bahrain stadium spartan race in January 💪🏼💪🏼 so that will give me some motivation over Christmas in the U.K. and keep me from going too mad with the food and drink!!
I also had a ‘first’ this week. I had an extremely stressful day and was feeling super emotional one evening and decided to just go run it off. This is the girl who only ran to train for that race 2 weeks back and never exercises at night 😂 I listened to very loud music and ran 4K in 20 minutes 🏃🏻‍♀️

After eating paleo for so long I'm still in the habit of buying hormone free meats (picture 2). I can definitely tell the difference too, believe it or not. The taste, texture, and the way they cook are quite different from the mass produced stuff. .

Since we've started the bulk, we aren't eating strictly paleo anymore - mainly to make it easier to reach our higher carb count. But we still make an effort to eat pretty clean most of the time, so there are a lot of veggies involved!

Two days ago I completed #toughmudder 20km race with 22 obstacles and I am still quite sore 😅 Well if you are thinking my legs are sore then no... my biceps and neck 😂 what the hell right?! I literally have a bruise on my both arm. Last year I remember my quads were sooo sore. 🙈 I definitely felt stronger this time as I completed one of the toughest obstacles - money bar climbing! I have been working on my upper body strength by lifting heavy weights and well YES IT HAS PAID OFF👊🏼 So ladies don’t be scared to LIFT HEAVY because that’s HOW YOU BUILD UP YOUR STRENGTH💪🏼😉 PS! I still need to work on my hand grip 😝 .

My quest for a half-bodyweight press is taking a long ass time, I've had to regress to progress many times. When I get to point B, my press will be so much better for it, as will my ability to coach it.

So don't look at others, just look at your own journey and enjoy the ride, know that what you consider a disadvantage today will become an advantage down the track if you keep working on it.
