My first pair of boxing gloves. @titleboxing They served me very well for how much I used them. Now theirs barely any padding left on the right glove. The stiches are starting to tear. But they still work. I have new equipment from @rivalboxinggear that is great, but these will always be a good reminder of how I got started. I always have been a fan of Mixed Martial Arts, but never tried to get into it. I just wanted to be a fan and watch from the outside. After fake sparring with a friend, who's been a amateur boxer. He told me I should try it out. I never did for awhile and he kept telling me to go. My cousin asked me if I wanted to go to the gym one day, and he's been in a few bouts himself. And after we worked out he asked if I wanted to spar. I never been in a ring before and I quickly realized that I couldn't defend myself, and I was in terrible shape. After, I knew I had to learn boxing. For my own health, and for others around me. So I could defend the ones I care about, and stay in shape. I became commited to get into fighting shape so I could at least try and fight some day. And I thought I was ready this October. I have been training for well over a year. But I don't have the mindset it takes at the moment. I'm currently living in my parents basement, and my seasonal job is ending soon. So I need all the money I can to save, so I can find a new job when I'm done, and move out. I will continue to train when I can, and I plan on still fighting in my future. For now though, I'm disappointed in myself and the situation I'm in, and I need to do everything I can to change, so I can pursue the things I love.
