I really could not be bothered cooking dinner tonight (or eating healthy at all today). I’m in a bit of a food funk & not sure what to eat - what’s healthy, what does my body need atm, blah blah blah. There’s so much conflicting advice out there and I’m still finding my way back to that great balance I had a few months ago
But I’m getting there, and learning lots
Most of what I’m learning atm is around the mind 🧠
How to approach cooking, food prep, food planning and my #selftalk through that process.
So tonight it was all about just getting it done. And this spiced chicken, crispy kale chips, grilled zucchini, potato rounds, and onion & garlic fry concoction was really quite a feat
And while it might not be EXACTLY what (I think) my body needs right now, it’s better than the takeaway &/or potato chips I was seriously considering...
Chronic illness / chronic wellness are both sooo...chronic (read: exhausting)
But I got this. And I’d rather be striving for health, even if it is a day by day journey, than drowning in illness.
I hope everyone had a scrumptious (&/or simple) dinner, and managed to fit in some #selfcaresunday today
Especially if it involved congratulating yourself for just #gettingitdone
