There will be opportunities to harvest produce, help with some weeding, eat some potluck goodness, and sign up to be an active member of Mariposa next season. We'd love to see you there!

On the following Sunday, October 13th 12-3, we will be having a more traditional work day to close out the garden for the season. We'll be weeding (always), multching, putting down compost to nourish our beds, and tackling some unfinished building projects.

Come to one or both, we'd love to see everyone come out and help this garden settle in for a long winter's rest. 💤

Bring: a water bottle, close toed shoes, a snack, and weather appropriate clothing. We'll provide the rest.

One of the first questions I’m asked when someone is getting started with their fitness goals... “hey what supplements should I take for weight loss?” Or I’m asked about my favorite pre-workout, fat burners, etc

I love pre-workouts... but if you really want to know my opinion on what’s the MOST important? —> It’s your health
.
My priority is to make sure my body can function as optimally as it can on it’s own before taking any add-ons to boost my metabolic rate. If you skimp on foundational health, any performance or fat loss products you use won’t work as efficient as they are supposed to
.
Taking micronutrients aren’t just about getting in extra vitamins if you don’t eat enough fruits and veggies
.
Think about focusing on the health of your organs and tissues? Your entire digestive tract and digestive enzyme production, the glands that produce crucial hormones, the trillions of bacteria living in your gut, the pH balance of your system, your immune health, your body’s ability to excrete metabolic waste, etc
.
I can tell you with 100% certainty that it is a night and day difference in how I feel when I am consistently taking #MicroFactor and #OptiGreens50 vs. when I run out for a day or two(or more because of hurricanes). The difference in my regularity, energy levels, sleep quality, and overall feeling of “wellness” is incredibly better when I’m taking these two supplements

Yum! Meatballs and rice. Pretty simple but what if I told you you can make it healthier with one easy change????
How??? Well I’m my house I use powdered veggies in place of bread crumbs!!!! Not only does this cut the carbs but adds veggies to a meal I would typically not have veggies with!!!!
What are veggie crumbs???? Well I use a variety of my TL veggies (typically: broccoli 🥦 cauliflower, asparagus, spinach, kale, red peppers 🌶 green peppers, and onions). I grind my already prepared and freeze dried TL veggies in my magic bullet (you can use a mortal and pestle or ziploc bag and rolling pin too)!!!! Voila - veggie powders to use instead of bread crumbs, as a seasoning or add to just about any meal!!
Love that I can make comfort food healthy!!!!

Brussel sprouts... We have grown to enjoy them. I like them shredded like this the most, but sometimes I don't want to prep that so I'll just cut them in half. Easy way and how we eat them most is heat some oil in a pan throw in 1/2 a chopped onion, some sliced mushrooms (if you have them) then brussels. I add salt, pepper, garlic powder, cayenne or chili powder, and paprika. When I shred them I probably make about 4 cups then they cook down and our dinners are always big enough for leftover lunches the next day!
