🗯️ To all the girls that think you're ugly because you're not a size zero, you're the beautiful one. It's society who's ugly.

How cool is this Zebra bone china mug? We love the bold colours of the graphic print which was illustrated and individually handplaced onto each mug by Alice Rolfe in her Bristol based studio.

Follow up post:
I ordered this cheek and lip stain from mana a week ago and boy it has been working just fine, I’m glad I found a good cheek stain for less than pkr 1000 (on sale hehe) however, it doesn’t work that well on lips, I have to keep reapplying it because I have duh discoloured lips, so yeah it can be one of the reasons, but I have medium-dark skin and I just applied a drop of the stain to my cheeks and it worked really well. Order yours now from @manabeautyspirit and no it’s not sponsored, who the hell is going to give me free products to review, I am just a beginner but if anyone wants to, they are most welcomed lolz polz.
I have been using @thebodyshop lip and cheek stain for about 5 years now, it’s a gel formula and always always works so good, it blends properly and always looks natural but its very expensive, this 7.2 ml baby cost me pkr 2500 but I think I just found a replacement. But guys for me lip and cheek stain is an essential that I use every freaking day, so if you too are like me, and use a tint daily instead of a blush, go get the mana one. It’s a fair replacement for bodyshop lip stain, benetint or any other high end tints you use, plus it’s organic. Kaafi sasti hun main, i kno I kno!
So girls and guys, if you don’t want to spend that much money on a cheek stain, @manabeautyspirit is the place to go, her lip and cheek stain is organic which means you can use it twice thrice a day without worrying about you skin. Plus this cute little 15 ml bottle can last one month IF you use it daily warna it will last even two three months, and is only for pkr 1350. Trust me on this, this is the best you can get. Mazeed kuch jaan’ny k liye please dm me! Bohat shukirya!

Rose is thirteen, black, and living in the Jim Crow South. It's set shortly after the murder of Emmett Till, so you know this book is not going to be a light read. But at the same time, it is middle grade, so it's not too heavy. See, this book isn't plot driven. It's character driven
👧🏽
Linda Williams Jackson does an excellent job of making Rose's character not just sympathetic, but relatable. So the book isn't about Emmett Till's murder or about his trial (though these things give considerable weight to it). It isn't about Martin Luther King (thought I love the way he's threaded into the story, too). And it also isn't about one big event or events in Rose's life or in the life of those around her
👧🏽👧🏽
And because it's done so well, the book is an excellent way to expose and teach young readers about life during Rose's time. Through Rose, readers learn what it meant to live in Mississippi in the 1950s. It's through her that readers understand differences between the North and South, and differences within the South, in terms of race relations. It's through Rose that readers understand her - like so many others' - struggle to figure out how to make things right (fight fire with fire, or make change through peace?) in a tumultuous time
😟
Favorite quote - "Bravery is when you’re scared but you do the job anyway." I know it's not a new one (in fact I remember liking a similar quote in THUG), but it's a good one
💪
One last note - this is a sequel to Midnight Without a Moon. Before reading this one, I hadn't read MWaM. (In fact, I only figured out it was a sequel when I started thinking I was going crazy for not remembering things that Rose described as having happened). 😳 I'm sure it would have been better had I read the first, but it does stand on its own two feet
