Light squats were a bit of an ordeal today. I wasn’t up for it, feeling a bit run down. So I focused on trying to get something positive out of the session (well, basically @bro_barney told me to pull myself together πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ). Major positive is my right heel is really behaving itself. Also I’ve discovered a new form of torture...3-2-3 tempo squats which I used today for technique work but will use in future whenever I fancy making 70kg feel like 100kg πŸ˜†First vid is the tempo squats, second is my working sets 4x6 on 85kg. I then did some single leg kettlebell rdls to help strengthen the muscles in my foot to help with my heel rise. #progress #slowprogress #girlswhosquat #girlswhohatesquatsbutdothemanyway #ukfitness #ukfitfam

There is a reason why people buy these. We are the generation of American impatience. With expectations defined by frustration, simply put - we are unwilling to wait. But we all know that for actual fitness results you have to put in work. Sweat. Time. FOCUS. There are no shortcuts.

You may want to give up. You’ll probably fail. But eventually, you will succeed. And at that moment, you’ll look back at your journey and be thankful for each trial you endured. That will make your success soooo much more rewarding β™₯️.

I’ve tried fad diets in the past and ended up gaining weight. I’ve tried taking shortcuts in powerlifting and ended up getting injured. See? I’ve made the mistakes for you already. Things I do on the day in between programs.... jump into an 8 minute partner row & sled relay for God only knows why πŸ˜‚ and see how many goblet squats I can do with half my body weight (after heavy ass front squats the day before, of course) πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

The goblet squats are one of three challenges my group coaching peeps have the option to participate in this month. 😈 And I refuse to program anything for my clients without having done it before. If *I* program it, you best believe *I* have tried it out, at least once. Yes, even the conditioning pieces. It’s important to me that I’m able and willing to do what I ask of them. You know, walk the talk and what not.
