About 12 months ago i stumbled across an article online about a colombian monk living in the Qadisha Valley. I was intrigued and determined that I wanted to meet him one day. Today was my day…… after hiking for 45 min down the cliffside of the valley we made it to the monastery which was built in the late 13th century. After catching our breath we waited patiently to see if Father Dario would come say hi… after a small wait Father Dario appeared. He sat with us and we talked, laugh and he told many jokes. (Father Dario Escobar, who is 84 years young is a maronite monk from colombia who took up residence in the mountainside 18 years ago.)

I know people who graduated college at 21, and didn’t get a salary job until they were 27.
I know people who graduated at 25 and already had a salary job.
I know people who have children and are single.
I know people who are married and had to wait 8-10 years to be parents.
I know people who are in a relationship and love someone else.
I know people who love each other and aren’t together.
There are people waiting to love and be loved.
My point is, everything in life happens according to our time, our clock.
You may look at your friends and some may seem to be ahead or behind you, but they’re not, they’re living according to the pace of their clock, so be patient.
You’re not falling behind, it’s just not your time

As a cat person I went nuts here! I couldn’t have a pet cat so I go to Cat Cafe to satisfy my addiction to cats lol 😝 we have a catchphrase in China’s cyber space which goes 吸猫 ( literally meaning suck cats) It describes people who love cats couldn’t stop playing with cats as drug addicts sucking drugs 😝 This Cafe is sooo lovely with 12 different breedings of cats lying around. One cat named 鳌拜( named after a very powerful and famous military officer in Qing Dynasty who has very exaggerated facial hairs and hairs sticking up like a lion’s mane) is my favorite. I also like the one who has a white line on her nose named 糯米 basically meaning “sticky rice”
