People ask me all the time, “Katie, where do you get your grit? How do you have this will to succeed?” To which I answer, “umm do you NOT live with constant existential anxiety?!” And then I tell them the other part — that I was really born with a sense of urgency, this unrelenting desire to create, succeed and achieve.
Even though I was bedridden for months, even though I faced the possibility of living life from a wheelchair, even though I very tragically lost my brother in 2015, I never lost that will. Through everything.
Sure, there were moments. Days even. But these are my guidelines: Grit. Tenacity. Resilience. Determination. Staying power, really.
Last night I was invited to speak at @theworkroomcoop. When women come together, the #truthtruth comes out. We talked about balance, burnout and what it takes to evolve our businesses and our lives, so we can show up and do the work we came here to do. It was a beautiful evening, and I was honored to share my work and the message of @innerglowcircle!
It takes a team so thanks to @thelivchapman and @lauraellencoaching for sharing their speaking and editing skillz with me!
