Why do bees love Hexagons?
Bees are mathematicians with an inherent plan of geometric repetition, they can calculate angles, and comprehend roundness of the Earth.
Hexagons are the perfect shape due to strength and efficiency and there is no waste in a system of cells that fit together at perfect angles. Themes to be considered would be: cycles, patterns, and intuition.. In addition, honey bees must consume about 8 oz of honey to create 1 oz of wax.
Honey bees are characterized I as having a strong work ethic within an intricate social structure.
This metaphoric hexagon is what we build together as the #honeyhive at the Southern Sierra goddess Gathering.
We can work 8 hours a day on our own to create 1 oz. of change, but when you bring six women together, we can make one big ass wave.
When we link arms, share connections, knowledge, insight, ideas our pool of resources becomes exponential.
For example, I know at least 20 people who would like to build a retreat center. Do any of them have them built? No. But what if we combined forces and worked as a tribe? We'd probably have a 20 acre retreat center up and running.
Another great example, extremely important, though on a smaller scale, is to have the structure and support of friends, family, and coven holding us accountable to ourselves, raising each other up, and fostering the growth of our inner alignment.
A friend told me once, "I want to be stronger."
So I asked her, "what is it that makes a teepee strong?" A teepee is not held up by just one pole. And strength is not a singular feature of a strong person either.
It takes multiple beams: beams of light, courage, confidence, trust, faith, passion, and drive to build a solid structure whether be in life, business, or the making of a Goddess Gathering.
We are never alone. We did not get to where we are alone. Nor can we change the world on our own.
We must connect. We must colaborate. We must compile.
Only then can we create real and lasting change and a solid foundation from.
