These are my four teams who I believe have the best chance of making it out of the AFC.
Watson and JJ Watt come back.
If Watson plays how he played before he got injured, he’ll be an MVP candidate.
Watson in 7 games had 19 passing touchdowns, 2 rushing touchdowns and a QBR of 103.0. Watt is obviously a beast just has trouble staying healthy.
Their WR core with Hopkins and Fuller is impressive. they’re defensive line and linebacker core is solid and now with the additions, Mathieu and Aaron Colvin they’re defensive backs got a lot better. Also they have 8 picks in the draft to upgrade their O-line. Expect big things next year.
New coach. Fresh start. Jon Gruden is brining new energy to a team that has a lot of talent. Carr is an exceptional QB. Lynch can still play and they have Amari Cooper and now Jordy Nelson. Also a solid TE in Jared cook. Let’s not forget, this team two years ago had people thinking they were going to the Super Bowl before Carr went down. Their O-line needs work as well as their D-line. their LB core is good but they desperately need secondary support. Luckily they have the 10th pick in the draft and 11 picks total. So if they have a great draft I believe they a real contender.
Made it to AFC championship this past year. Would’ve won if Jack’s fumble recovery wasn’t ruled dead and he was allowed to return it for a TD. Bortles will improve (hopefully). Great young RB in Fournette. Even with losing Colvin they still have the best defense in the NFL. So they need to focus on O-line support and improving their WR core. Then they should be right where they were last year.
This is obvious they have the great QB of all time and greatest coach. You can never count them out. But they lost a lot of people in Free agency and it might end up hurting. Also Father Time hits everyone. Let’s see if Brady’s time is up next year. #GoEagles #FlyEaglesFly #EaglesNewsPage
