After a 9-year break, last Friday we held the BECC Golf Open 2019 tournament. 30 players and 8 teams from different companies / organisations took part in the tournament which was held at the Estonian Golf & Country Club in Jõelähtme.
Phillip Marsdale, BECC Chairman, opened the tournament and introduced the rules of the competition. Shortly after that the shotgun start was sounded at 13.30. All the teams played two rounds of the Stone Course. The day couldn’t have been any better – perfect golfing weather, sunny and warm.
The format of the tournament was Florida Scramble. The teams that took part in the competition were:
Estonian Business School (EBS)
International Language Services (ILS Cunning Linguists)
Estonian Allsorts 1
Estonian Allsorts 2
Foreign Investors Council of Estonia (FICE)
The winners of the tournament only by a few points were the ILS Cunning Linquists. A creditable second place went to the EGCC team. EGCC player Hanno Kross received the trophy for longest drive of 255 Metres and Peeter Kross from EBS won the prize for the closest to the pin.
