Mental Health Awareness Week and my first appointment today was to interpret at a mental health assessment.
Sitting in the waiting room brought time to reflect on some unexpected and overwhelming challenges.
I had never really thought about my own mental health and well being but the challenges made me realise I had to look after myself in order to continue the journey. I had to press pause, take time out, fit in some "me time" and of course talk.
In coping with challenges i have made new friends @manorfarmcottageflowers and some very Sexy Llamas, reconnected with some very inspiring people @d33go , made the most of opportunities that were created and time spent in Cornwall @walkyourtalkretreats again confirmed how important it is to not only to look after ourselves but also how healing it can be to walk your talk.
I know I am very lucky to have some truly special people in my life and an Instagram post cannot really convey just how much the fact that they listened, ran with me, met me for coffee @anniehillman and my Marlborough Mums, messaged, gave me time out at short notice @rachelwardleystyle @martinwardleymusic @katedacey introduced me to @hot8brassband - you know who you are, numerous stays @atmcarter and yummy food @mirandacarter, climbed Machu Pichu with me @wkatharine7, came to the Diff @marinajebb @sifamustafa @katerogers and soooooo many more gorgeous humans that have simply made a difference. Thank you all.
Of course, if it wasn't for @ejcomanescu and @leocomanescu I wouldn't be on this journey. Te iubesc xx
