Captain Jack was a pirate. He had the most magnificent ship; the ship of lechery. He would sail in the seven seas, stealing the precious hearts of all the girls he met at the shore. But one fine day, a storm struck his ship. Most of the crew drowned, few were successful in fleeing. But Captain Jack was a loyal man, at least to his ships. He remained on board. It was only after his stellar ship had sunk like Sunset, he decided to swim to the nearest island for his usual raid.
It was a barren island. Flatland with a peak; peak of solitude. Addicted to companionship and the spirit of love, he found his answers in the secret stash of Rum in the desolate island. The dark, cold, and lonely nights taught him to feel and embrace the warmth of his own body.
One time, late in the night, he passed out after finishing a bottle of Rum. Surrounded by the sand, waves, and moonlight, a drop of water would land on his cheek, slowly kissing his lips. Transient as it may be, that remains to be the best kiss of his life; serene, satiating and sensual. He began to enjoy the light drizzles, falling drop by drop on his face. And then the droplets hit his fingers, chest, and navel.
Cherishing the moment, he let his body loose allowing the rain to make love to him. But rain turned violent. He didn't want that. He couldn’t kiss that many droplets of water. He couldn’t let water love him all over his body for hours without getting hurt.
He realised too much of anything is bad. Too much rain ruins the romance; too much of solitude ruins you. He wanted to escape. Escape the meaningless relations, escape the barren island and escape being an endless sailor. But the question remained- How? All he had was an empty bottle of Rum and some hope.
So, he locked his fate in form of a letter inside the Rum bottle. He now waits for someone while building a home for himself on the island. No more sailing for Captain Jack, all that sails now is his fate.
