Happy Monday! Today is actually another gray morning here, so here is something a little sunnier to get the week going 🔆😎 I have lived in very snowy and moody-weathered places the majority of my life, so I know how fortunate I am to now live in a place which is sunny most of the time. Weather (environment in general) heavily influences my mood, and I know that seasonal affective disorder, SAD for short, is a challenge for a lot of people who live in places that have a lot of gray and dreary weather. I do love a few cloudy, shnuggly days here and there, but when the weather just won’t cut me a break with that glorious warm rush of Vitamin D, I start feeling a little down and need more hugs. Can anyone relate?
Here are a few things that I do when the weather starts messing with my good vibes:
💆🏼♀️🧖♀️ The first go-to remedy for me is to treat my mind and body to something that feels good and is good for me, and that usually means a massage or some sort of bodywork to get my physical discomforts worked out. For me, helping my physical self truly elevates my mood. 🎟 How about going to see a movie on the big screen to escape? Or for a fraction of the cost AND calories, I like to make it a fun movie night with some friends at home. Spending time with friends is good for my soul and I like putting my own herbs and seasonings on my popcorn anyway! 💡I have an LED Light therapy mask with 7 different color options that I use for various skin benefits, but light therapy has been proven effect for the treatment of SAD as well. It does help me. There are a wide variety of home models to choose from. 👭Call, text, or meet up with someone who always makes you smile. Try to make this a habit for daily practice! If you need a friend to try and make you smile or laugh, DM me. I will give it my best shot ...I have some corny jokes just waiting to be told! 🤡
What do you do to help you beat the weather blues? Hope you have a happy day! 🔆🌴||
