Of late, the twin valleys of Sainj and Tirthan in Seraj, Kullu have attracted the attention of naturalists and trekkers for the Great Himalayan National Park, India which has been carved out in their high‐ups over an area of 754.6 Sq Kms combining some of the nature's grandest spectacles, this park has acquired UNESCO world heritage status in 2014.
Shangarh is a delightful spot for a quiet holiday and for complete communion with nature. A comfortable forest Rest House is available of the spot. Magnificent view of the surrounding peaks and a walk into the dense green forest of pines will take you to a different world altogether. Although very much secluded, the place is much liked by trekkers and nature lovers. It's also a base point for a lot of treks.
