Do you believe in the 10,000 hour rule?....that it takes that amount of hours of practice and talent, to achieve mastery?
Whether you want to become a master at playing an instrument or a sport, or you want to learn a new language, learn a new skill or start out on a new career path. Apparently putting in 10,000 hours is the key to success in anything that you do (if you want to be at the top of your game that is) .
What do Bill Gates and The Beatles have in common?
Bill gates started computer programming from the age of 13...every evening, on the weekends, between the hours of 3-6am, he devoted his time to computers. By the time he left school he had clocked up over 10,000 hours of practice! ... He is now one of the richest men in the world!
The Beatles were playing non-stop shows, 7 nights a week in bars in Liverpool and Hamburg long before they were famous. By the time they finally burst into success, they had over 10,000 hours of practice!...Today they're known as the GREATEST music group of all time!
Whether you believe in the 10,000 rule or not, one thing I know for sure, is that it takes years of hard work, dedication and purposeful practice to become a master.
What is it you want to achieve and do you want it badly enough to clock up your own 10,000 hours?
