"Hunt me? For what? Improper etiquette? They are the ones writing horribly inaccurate dragon facts in their books."
Today's #grimdragon prompt is for #dragons and I'm going back to this little beaut. Haven't read it in ages, but I do remember loving this quirky, charming and beautifully illustrated little adventure.
Yesterday my best friend and I played two beautiful games: Never Alone and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. I definitely recommend them! Still not okay from the ending of the last one I’m a day behind with challenges but I took these photos so I’m posting them!! #authorappreciationmarch - Fave childhood author. I can never pick one favourite author. I’m pretty bad at picking one favourite anything! But Tonke Dragt is definitely a favourite from my childhood. I’m dying to reread her books. Several of them have been translated into English so you can all read them too now! I actually don’t remember much of this one, De Zevensprong (I think it was translated into Song of Seven?), but the vague notions I do remember are good I’ve got The Letter for the King and its sequel Secrets of the Wild Wood in this edition as well and I hope all of her books will come out like this so I can collect them! #beautyofthemarch - St. Patrick’s Day: green books. I always forget St. Patrick’s Day exists because it’s just not celebrated here But it helped me pick a book for these challenges!
I was going to start this book by Maeve Binchy for today’s holiday, but I’m still working on reading another book... which also happens to be by an Irish author. I’m currently reading The Portrait of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wild. Halfway point and it’s slowing down. It’s another one of those books where the climax is at the beginning and probably ending with just a slow middle. It is slow. A chapter discussing about all things Dorian has done to create a time jump; his love for books, theater, then gems, then perfumes... not sure if I’m interested in knowing what he likes next but I do want to know if Dorian continues to use his portrait to remain young looking forever. I don’t think I would want a portrait like that, even if I didn’t have to go through all these physical therapy steps to cure my broken arm and wrist.
I’m halfway healed and am using a brace wrap less now. I still can’t twist my hand completely and it’s still a bit weak. As for reading... I’ve read 10 books now and even adjusting my Goodreads goal to 40 books, my reading speed has me ahead of the challenge.
How’s everyone been? Missed doing #bookstagram sometimes but then I want to read more books too.
I love the covers on all the mexican editions of The Maze Runner saga, they are amazing, even if the spin offs were bad hahahaha anyway, I keep them because these covers are so pretty. #books#bookstagram#reading#grimdragon
