🚨RESIDENT ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨Having played around with dance music since the age of 16, @jordansmithdj is no stranger to the elements of the 4/4 genres. Learning through the more modern way of a controller djing Jordan has now embraced the art that is vinyl djing. Locking himself away for weeks on practicing the craft of djing has now made him a comfortable selection for any lineup. Being no stranger to any style of dance music, Jordan first started off with the pumping sounds of EDM music. Now he finds himself sitting in the realm of groovy house music and driving techno.
Having learnt the basics through constant frustration and practice it is easy to say Jordan knows his way around a set of turntables. Once Jordan had turned 18 he was on the look for his first piece of action. Having played one or two small gigs he knew that guidance is what he needed most. The magic happened when he met one of Swansea’s most recognisable DJs in Andrew Hartley. Not knowing much about Andrew only his passion for house music in general Jordan quickly became close friends with Andrew and thus learned a great amount of skill through his mentor and best friend. Taking these skills learned Jordan quickly got recognised by a couple of small events including Reset and thus went onto DJ for the late Swansea Underground night club.
Getting more recognition amongst the local scene Jordan picked up a few small gigs and some residencies. This included playing at Peppermint and Bambu. Jordan played in the legendary night club Escape before closing its doors. Jordan then slotted into the Oxygen and Eden roster became instantly affiliated with the brand. Jordan gained a lot more exposure and thus landing him a residency in Pitcher and Piano. Having represented the Sonic brand for 6 months Jordan is now back to make an instant impression on any dance floor.
His hard work and dedication to the local scene makes him an asset to any brand. Locking himself away learning the craft of music production he will be one to watch for the future.
