I am better with the rifle for sure. However, I still need some practice. This was with the AR15 at 40 yards. I am not used to using a scope. This was a magazine of 30 rounds, I should have cut that X right out with a proper tight group.
I cannot wait to pick up my rifle this year and get it sighted in for me. I will get some practice in and show you how I earned my Second Award Expert Badge with some much tighter groups. I love the sights, sounds and smells of shooting. I need to invent a gun range incense. Haha
This may hurt some feelings but it is time you heard the truth. Teachers, mentors, coaches or anyone who is giving information to others will tell you there is no such thing as a stupid question. Or, the only stupid question is the one you didn't ask.
This mentality enables us to remain stupid or to disrespect the person giving the information. How are we disrespecting them (stupid question), you may ask? You are disrespecting them and their time by not paying attention in the first place because you can just ask your question when they are done.
Now I'm not talking about when you listen attentively and there is something you just do not understand.
What I'm talking about is stupid question number 1. The question someone asks that was answered in the presentation but they decided not to listen in the first place. Stupid question number 2 is the question someone asks that was not only answered in the presentation but in the first stupid question that was asked and answered but you still didn't pay attention.
Stupid question number 3 is the one common sense would answer if you just used your brain once in a while. Example: in the Marine Corps we were in Bridgeport California learning rock climbing and rappelling. The instructor explained in rappelling you need 2 anchors and there are two types of anchors. They are natural and man made. Natural is trees, boulders or something all ready in the environment that can be used. Man made is something you build with materials you have or can gather. One Marine asks what if there is only one natural anchor do you have to build two man made anchors? You got it, stupid question.
Obviously if there is a tree there you can build one man made anchor and not have to build two. You also will not be expected to plant a seed and wait for a second tree to grow in 20 years. Come on you're burning daylight asking these questions. Pay attention, use common sense and if you still have a legitimate question ask it. Otherwise, zip it.
