Think Bacteria!! Think about what you put in your body!
Most people know that antibiotics really disrupt gut bacteria, but did you NSAID's, antibacterial soaps, creams etc also disrupt them? What about chlorinated water? Sleeping pills perhaps?
What about sugar? Too much sugar can have devastating effects on your gut bacteria.
There are many things that can negatively effect bacteria in your gut. The good news is that there are simple things you can do to help your gut bacteria recover. Kefir, fermented foods, kombucha as well as probiotic supplements can really help re-balance your gut bacteria.
Eating less sugar can also help the balance and allow good bacteria to flourish.
The good news is that it isn't too late. Starting today, reduce your sugar and anti-bacterial use (where possible), increase your ingestion of fermented foods and you will give your gut a fighting chance!
