Last night was the first time I’ve trained Muay Thai in three weeks. If I was a puppy, my tail would have bounced off from wagging it so hard. I wish there was a word in the English language for the deep-seated contentment I gain from Muay Thai. It’s better than the tangible achievements I spent my whole life chasing like high distinctions, degrees, a career as a lawyer. Maybe it’s because there is no trophy recognition or monetary reward, you go in and go out of class, hopefully just a nano slice better than you were before, and you work towards being that a little bit better, for the rest of your life.
This long-winded post was inspired by @sarahlianhan @gookstagram . Happiness is fleeting but 2018/11/20 , I want to remember this moment when I realised I don’t need anything else in my life.
Video of @millivw and I sparring at @teamjwk . Footage from training last night are up on my Stories.
