WHY IS HIP MOBILITY IMPORTANT?

In short, tight hips are likely to impede a full range of motion in exercises. This can have all sorts of implications; changes in stride/limitations for runners or a lack of depth when squatting for example.

Keeping hips mobile can also assist in the prevention of injuries...particularly in the lower back but also in the likes of knees and ankles.
There are SO MANY exercises that you can do to prevent tight hips. Here are a few simple ones you can do at home 😊

This morning I went for a 10k run with my sister-in-law and brother. We did some KILLER hills and an intense sprint at the end. It's the first time I've ever gone for a run with them, and it was so much fun. Love these guys, they're absolutely awesome!! I'm on the right, by the way. Apparently I look a whole lot like my bro. Have a wicked weekend guys!! 🕺

• RSR (Russian Squat Routine) - It’s a training method that helps you increase muscle strength fast when you do squats or deadlifts. It’s from the beginning made to increase strength in squats, but it works with deadlifting as well. When you do RSR, you follow a certain schedule in which you squat or deadlift three times per week for six weeks straight. BUT now I’m not saying that you mix squating and deadlifting - either you do the schedule for the one or the other. After those six weeks you’re supposed to accomplish a new personal best in squating or deadlifting, whatever you chose to increase strength in. • I’m currently following RSR when I deadlift, it’s heavy as **** - but that’s probably because it was men that invented that way to lift so it probably works better for them 💁🏼‍♀️ - but it works. However, either if you make it or fail, your lifting technique will get better in the end. • To get your RSR schedule started, go to https://www.exrx.net/WeightTraining/Weightlifting/RussianSquatProgramGenerator , it’s free and soo simple. It’s just to type in your 1RM(1rep max) and you’re good to go :) •

Protein is a macronutrient that is essential to maintain muscle mass. It is much easier to stay full and build muscle when you eat enough protein, especially when in a caloric deficit and trying to lose body fat. It is commonly found in animal products (lean meat, chicken breast, eggs, etc…), though is also present in other sources (vegan sources), such as nuts and seeds... --
A non-vegetarian would have no problem absorbing the variety of amino acids (the building blocks of protein) provided by proteins as all meat already possesses a complete array of them; a vegetarian, or vegan, on the other hand, would need to absorb a rainbow of foods to get the full benefit. --
All of these examples (the post above) contain mostly protein, that can satisfy absolutely the needs of this precious macronutrient for both, non-vegetarians and vegans.😉

These aren’t the only protein sources of course, but if you need protein, you can’t go wrong with any of them.💪
