How often do we say we don't have time? I know for me it's on a daily basis. But is this really true? ⠀

I was doing some research on how much tv the average American watches daily. I found studies indicating everything from 2 to 5 hours on average! 5 hours?!?!⠀

Even if I just took 1 of the 2 hours I normally use to watch tv, I could take a walk, call a friend on the phone, exercise, pick up the house, or do any other number of things I need to do or want to do.⠀

Time is created thing. It took me awhile to wrap my head around this idea. I liken it to when I was in college. How in the world did I get all that s*** done? 3 meals a day in the cafeteria, working out 4 days a week, hours and hours of classes, and even more homework - on top of that, I still made time to hang out with friends daily, go to events, contribute in extracurricular activities, and sleep pretty well. ⠀

My efficiency has definitely declined. I don't have homework anymore, just work. But somehow, I still struggle to actually do the dishes, workout, and get those things done I need to do. It seems like in college I was creating more time!⠀

I want to get back to that level. So I've started asking myself - "How can I create more time today?"⠀

I'm also trying to lose the phrase "I don't have time." because that's not really true 99% of the time. Normally, when I say that I mean "I don't want to make time for that."⠀

If you guys also want to improve your use of time, I would definitely love some buddies as I exercise creating more time. ⠀

Don't let yourself “day dream” about negative thoughts. If you give negative thoughts any attention they will just grow and become harder and harder to let go of. Anxiety is nothing but a habit. Start using your brain differently to kick the habit. Stop yourself when you start thinking scary or negative thoughts. Take deep breaths and count your exhales until you aren't thinking that negative thought anymore. It will change your thinking pattern in the moment. Do it consistently and it will change your thinking patterns long term. If you walk in the street in Russia, you will probably think that Russians are very unhappy. As most of them will have gloomy face expressions, and if you smile at someone, this person will look pretty nervous and try to avoid eye contact. Please don't think that Russians are impolite or not happy to see you visiting their country. This is just the matter of culture.

One version says that Russian people do not smile because of the rigorous climate. Just think about it - when you don't see much sun throughout the year, and for half a year you have to wear super warm clothes, you get a bit tired to smile at every person you meet. Kind of need to keep more good energy for your family and close friends😉

Another, deeper theory tells that in Russian culture a smile does not really symbolize politeness. It is intended to show that something really good has happened to a person and he is very happy about it. Seeing you in the street is a good thing, but not something to be excessively happy about, right? 😀

Since i can’t do cardio due to my knee injury, it’s hard finding ways to increase my heart rate to break a sweat. So i started incorporating supersets into my workouts to make that happen. Here’s one:

I was listening to a podcast and heard this quote. Regardless what you may think of Tony Robbins, he spits out a lot of gems.
This made me think how easily the following words roll off people lips or these thoughts cross their mind.... ____

Someday I'll buckle down and write that book.

Someday I'll take that trip to Bora-Bora.

Someday I'll lose these last few pounds.

Someday I'll get that promotion.

Someday I'll compete.

____ 📍Until you get clear about what you really want and making a plan on how to get it, all you have is a wish/desire, percolating in your head.
It means nothing.

In 2007, I had thoughts of competing in figure. It wasn't until 4 years later did I get serious and got a coach, and made it on a stage in my two piece, leaner than I ever had been in my life.

In 2012, I had wanted a promotion in my job, but it wasn't until two years later did I actually do some research, put together a paper justifying my promotion, and got the nerve to bring to an executive's attention, did I get it.

In 2011, I had talked about becoming a coach to help people lose weight and become healthier.  It wasn't until 2014, when I registered for a year long health coaching certification program did I make it happen.

Back in 2015, my husband and I talked about going to the Caribbean because we both had never been.  This past September, we made that wish reality and flew to Aruba.

None of this would have happened had we not made it happen. 👉Remember talk is cheap. 👉Action trumps desire.

Someday often leads to never.
Until you make a decision on when you are going to seriously make your goals reality, you may never act. ✔️So decide what is it you want. ✔️A date you want to achieve it. ✔️Make a plan. ✔️Get some help, if necessary. ✔️Work on it until it's done.
Be relentless.
Be Pro-You.
