Last night, a dream and true for me.
When The Lion King played in Taiwan years and years ago, I couldn't watch it because the show opened the day after I left. I was distraught, but my aunt bought me a CD instead and told me "maybe next time."
I've been waiting, patiently, for this moment. Now that it's happened, it's proof that dreams really DO come true.
The costumes, the music, the lights, and the sets were a complete sensory overload, and it brought back so many memories of me as a child, listening to the OBCR on my boom box and lifting my stuffed toys like Rafiki.
Dreams do come true. I'm completely overjoyed that mine did, and that I got to share it with the one I love. This is truly a show I will never forget.
