Taco 'bout how grateful we are... Yesterday, we celebrated my taco-loving husband's birthday. My 4 year old and I created a simple surprise "taco breakfast" made with homemade pancake, scrambled eggs, and bacon.
To create the taco gift bag, simply cut yellow felt for the shell and trim two small brown paper bags or one medium-sized one for the meat (we had two small gifts we wanted to place in individual baggies so we went with two). Then finish it off with green, yellow, and crumpled red tissue paper for . The drawing my daughter created was definitely the highlight of the set-up...I mean, if a taco holding a birthday balloon doesn't get you in a festive mood, I don't know what will.
Sadness, Sorrow, and unhappy are three words to describe the next featured color. But I know that there is not a word created to describe how I felt when my granddaddy passed away. Consumed with an inconsolable emptiness because he had to leave but relief that he no longer had to suffer I did not know how to process it and I definitely had no idea how to deal. Creating this took a lot of me emotionally and mentally. Just thinking about all the things I wanted to share with him and all the conversations that we will never get to have. My tears have stained canvas through and through.
Gone to soon by Michael Jackson is dedicated to James Arthur Rodney. He was like a comet blazing across the evening sky before he departed his earthly home on March 4th, 2010. First Corinthians 13:4-8 was his favorite scripture and he always showed me that LOVE NEVER FAILS. He was a man of many talents but I decided to highlight his love for gardening, jazz, and fishing. #blankcanvasbyv#handmade#blueart#flowerart#artofthearts#gonetosoon#MJ#michaeljackson#handmade#cltartist#mosaicartist#blackartist#jazzart#RIPgranddaddy#musicart#saxophoneart#cometart
