Ever since I was a kid, I always dreamt about seeing my favorite basketball players up close and personal. It was my ultimate goal back then. They were my heroes and the main reason why I got into the field I am in now. Instead of Barbie dolls and toys (not that there’s anything wrong with Barbie, she’s cool), I grew up watching these superstars transform and impact the game that I can’t imagine my life without. It’s always been the dream to finally get the chance to see my heroes and to do this as a profession—I mean, I wouldn’t want anything else.
James Harden is pretty exceptional. I remember how much of a headache he gave Kobe, Pau, Ron and the rest of my Lakers back in 2010. But that was also the time I knew he was going to be one of the best players in the NBA someday. Now, he’s the Most Valuable Player (well, at least Manila likes to think so) so yeah, that’s amazing to witness and actually see the step-back move (that I copy a lot when I’m about to throw something in the 🗑) up close and personal. Pretty crazy where life can take you. I guess after all this blabbering, all I can say is that destiny is beautiful, and that not all heroes wear capes—mine wore basketball jerseys. ♥️ (Also, make sure to check out our dope @jharden13 content @multisportph!)
