I am a New Yorker. We have tons of pollutants around us here both in the air, water and food we eat. I’m very aware of this - so I have adjusted my lifestyle to combat the effects of these elements. Air filters, water filters, shopping on the wknds at organic farmers markets, taking long road trips to the mountains to take in some fresh air, purifying skin mists. When I shower I am aware that we have fairly hard water in NYC. I discovered @evianwater Brumisateur mist many years ago and loved how it made my skin feel so refreshed after my shower. Ends up that I was on point. After a shower, is your skin silky smooth or squeaky clean? How your skin feels may come down to whether you have hard water or soft water. I always felt like it wasn’t always quite perfectly how I wanted it to feel.
#Hardwater contains dissolved minerals like copper, calcium & magnesium that make it harder to form a solution with soap, & leaves behind scummy residue not only on bathroom walls & tubs but skin as well. They are free radicals which wreak havoc to skin & complexion long term.
The residue clogs your pores the same way it clogs your pipes. Clogged pores can lead to breakouts and worsen skin conditions like acne or eczema.
-ages skin faster
-Causes itchy, dry, & worsened sensitive skin.
-calcium salts build up in your scalp causing dryness, itching, coarse hair and flaking- #dandruff 💧Soft water has less concentration of these minerals. Benefits of #softwater -No soap build-up on skin. Skin stays softer & healthier as natural oils are not stripped and aren't covered by a mineral build-up. -Less soap needed to cleanse skin meaning less loss of moisture & damage to skin barrier.
-Hair is softer and easier to manage with no build-up of hash minerals.
- Less eczema flare ups, chronic dryness, exacerbation of acne, changes in complexion; more youthful plump skin. #watermatters #beautybroker #beautyexpert #beautyconsultant #aestheticexpert #plasticsurgeryexpert #consultant #plasticsurgeryconsultant #skincare #dermtalk #skinmatters
