Every season has an end - for harvest to begin and we are embracing that process! 📷 1: Smith Fork Ranch Farmstead Garden 📷 2: Veronica Cauliflower - spiraled heads are lime green and more flavorful than your white varieties. 📷 3: Strawberries 🍓 📷 4: Grapes 🍇 - The North Fork Valley has become a grape growing region of Colorado and is producing some of Colorado’s wines 🍷 📷 5: Tomatoes 🍅 - This season Chef Marcus started our tomatoes in February...we started season with 282 plants and 21 varietals. 📷 6: Squash - we’re harvesting all sorts of squash and anticipating some of the winter squash to come. 📷 7: Beans - we’ve got multiple varieties but these are a Goldilocks variation that is named after is beautiful bright yellow beans. 📷 8: These Sprinter peppers are just one of many. Chef Marcus has been stuffing the pablano pepper with a squash medley. 📷 9: Artichokes 📷 10: Corn 🌽 - The nearby town of Olathe is famous in CO for their sweet corn so we thought we try our hand at it.
The Tree Fruit IPM program just finished up pre harvest evaluations for the season. Evaluations assure growers that they are successfully growing fruit with low percentages of damage; something that they work hard for all season long. the world's very first offshore dairy farm is set to open at the end of 2018. This dairy farm will be in the Port of Rotterdam, and it is being launched by Beladon, a Dutch property company. . . .
