Wow I've been busy this year. I finally got around to putting the rest of my Comic-Con stuff away, and I finally hung all my #dolores kit out to look at it all together for the first time, and it's kinda hard to believe I've made all this since February. A jacket, two skirts, two petticoats, the chemise, a bustle, the corset, and the belt and pouch. Hot damn.
And have I mentioned how much I love that belt pouch? The leather came from eBay and was literally perfect for wet shaping, just soak it in water and form the front between two matching Tupperware, then sew it all together when it's dry and after it's been glued. There's still a few things I want to fix, like switching out the jacket trim again for a narrower braid I found, redoing the back of the nice skirt (goodbye cartridge pleats, you were pretty but not screen accurate and don't sit right over the bustle), and finish trimming BOTH my petticoats, since they each have only half their trim.
Without the holster, bandolier, and maze, which I bought, this has been the biggest, most involved project I've worked on yet, and as much as I hated it at times because it took so long and kept needing more supplies, I'm super proud of how much I've learned and done, just working on all of this, since it was my first time doing leatherworking, corsetry, this amount of fabric dyeing, insertion lace, and the tailoring on the jacket. #cosplay #doloresabernathycosplay #doloresabernathy #westworld #westworldcosplay #westworldseason2 #sewing #victoriansewing #hbowestworld #corsetry #leatherwork #wetformedleather #wetforming #doesntlooklikeanythingtome #themazewasnotmeantforyou
