Short story about me, I got my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2016. Ever since I could remember, I have always had a passion for sports and fitness. As a child, teen and adult I’ve dealt with weight issues. Regardless of it, I decided to get my certification in Personal Training. I was doing pretty well as a trainer; however, it just didn’t feel right at that moment because I felt like a hypocrite trying to train others while I wasn’t practicing what I was preaching. It was pretty depressing but these experiences taught me a lesson and have made me a better individual. While I stopped training I still kept getting certifications and improving my knowledge on health and fitness. My goal was to come back stronger and be a better trainer. I think my turning point was when I found out I had health issues. It’s sad it took till that point to change my life but now I’m ready to make my comeback and change my lifestyle for good. There’s just so much to say about this transformation here.... 2014 vs 2018.

I chose a pic where I don’t look “that bad” cuz choosing a horrible pic of myself is slightly over dramatizing the transformation. My progress and transformation doesn’t involve you (no offence). It doesn’t matter to me how “amazing” you find my transformation is cuz I did this for myself and I know how fkin low I was 3-4 years ago.

I wasn’t educated the way I am today about foods & training (cardio & party bunny I was) resulted in looking “skinny fat”. I went out on any occasion, I drank way too much and always needed to get some type of attention from people. My self awareness and self love was literally non existent. I wore clothes that were too tight, too short & revealing for the wrong reasons. I went to school and worked even though I hated it. It was the normal thing to do, I did it - just like a lot of things I did. I had no purpose in my life. No reason to fulfill my days with goodness. I hit a slump and a lot of people that knew me back then have/had no idea I was “that bad” because I was insanely good at hiding everything & pretending that everything was “chill bro”.

I don’t like to make myself seem as though I got ALL my shit figured out because I don’t. People think I’ve always been “figured out” but I’m just trying to grow just a little bit more everyday. I don’t think anyone will ever be at their best and there’s really something beautiful about accepting that. I changed my entire life around because I realized that I am here on this earth for something pretty big. I’m not saying going out, drinking, being “skinny fat” is bad - I’m trying to explain that the lack of consciousness was painful for me.

I don’t know if there’s anyone reading this who feels as though they are unfulfilled but if there is one, I am directing my message to you. To tell you to say no to what ever makes you feel numb and start exploring what makes you feel something deep whether it’s happiness, love, adventurous or spontaneity. Find what speaks to you, your soul & for yourself only ✨

my legs are sooo sore from yesterday’s workout omg but it was a gooood workout. swipe to see my lower body workout. I did higher weight and lower reps with pretty much everything but the squats.
also still can’t workout my upper body because of my back but i’m getting an MRI in a little over a week so hopefully I figure out what’s going on with it so I can start working out more than just my legs soon
