With all the monthly check-ups during pregnancy, we become highly aware of our nutrient levels. I remember being surprised how low my iron levels were. My gynecologist would advice me to get an infusion of iron (which I didn’t) and prescribe me prenatal supplements for iron that cause constipation to say the least. ⠀

A lot of women walk around with low iron levels, which varies throughout the month, because let’s face it, we have periods. Also, having too much iron in the body creates a breeding ground for infections. Which explains why the levels of pregnant women often decrease to keep both the unborn baby and the mother protected from infections. ⠀

What is relevant though is how do you feel? Are you feeling tired all the time or suffer from headaches? Two women with the exact same “low” iron levels could be having two different experiences. One might not be tired at all, the other all the time. That’s why getting in touch with your body and giving it what it needs is the best way to deal with any symptom, no matter what your levels are.⠀

Having mainly a plant-based diet with wholesome, fresh and a variety of green leaves, grains, seeds and dried fruits are the best way to go. Nature has your back 🙌🏽. As one sole element, as in supplements for iron, is never to be found alone in nature or in food, as other vitamins and minerals are needed for a healthy balance and an efficient absorption. ⠀

Cover your iron with something that may seem small but is oh so beneficial for our health: (stinging) nettle seeds. In German: Brennnesselsamen 🍃. Add it to your daily smoothie, as an extra ingredient in your food or infuse it in your tea. It’s packed with plant-based iron! 💪🏽🌱⠀

One is life threatening, the other is not but they can both trigger the body to shut off digestion and increased cortisol levels can lead to fat accumulation especially around the midsection. .

To de-stress the body and move it into maximum nutritional metabolism:- - Take a deep breath in slowly for a count of 5 seconds - Hold in for 5 seconds and breathe out slowly for 7 seconds - Repeat x 10 or as many times as you wish until you start to feel relaxed.

[ MAKE PROGRESS, NOT EXCUSES ]

Não adoro fazer exercício, nunca adorei! Ao longo da minha vida inscrevi-me em todos os ginásios (premium e low cost) das cidades onde vivi.

Acontecia sempre o mesmo: passados alguns meses continuava a pagar a mensalidade e esperava que da minha inatividade surgissem resultados sem esforço. Colocava todas e quaisquer atividades à sua frente e acabava por desistir 😔
.
Este mês, recomecei a fazer exercício em casa, 30 min, 2 vezes por semana e a andar 1h a passo rápido pelas ruas do Centro da cidade. Troquei as escadas rolantes e o elevador pelas escadas e os transportes, por andar a pé.
.
Dei início a este processo depois de eu própria decidir entrar no processo de Coaching 🎯
.
Não basta começar ou querer. É fulcral manter o foco e a motivação. E ter atenção desde o início aos pequenos indícios de auto-sabotagem!
.
Aprender a criar um novo hábito, descobrir o verdadeiro intuito por trás do nosso objetivo e manter um compromisso com o coach é fundamental!

Jag fokuserar alltid på så stora muskelgrupper som jag kan alltså om jag ska träna bröst, axlar och triceps tränar jag dem i den ordningen. Varför? För att triceps och axlar än mindre muskler än bröst som även hjälper till när du tränar bröstet. Mindre muskler du gärna vill vara pigg i så de kan hjälpa tjuren dra kärran till stallet🤪🏆 Dessa är två övningar jag älskar för bröst och axlar, båda är stora press-rörelser som nästan alltid kör slut på mig. Ibland sittande, ibland stående, ibland med hantlar eller med stång⭐️⭐️ Ut med bröstet, kläm ihop skulderbladen, håll armbåge i en rak linje mätt från punkten av belastning, alltså din hand och ta i med en spänd mage💥
