I haven’t really been hungry today so all I’ve had is two slices of toast so far. But I’m cooking myself some spinach and ricotta tortellini for dinner using this hearty food co. tomato and herb sauce, it’s so cheap but so tasty, better than some more expensive sauces i’ve tried! 👍🏻

S N A C K S 🍫
I’ve been really craving chocolatey things recently! And wanted to get a few snacky things that I could reach for instead of being tempted by chocolate! So I picked up these in Tesco earlier, I thought they’d be really good as a snack on the go at uni or for a sweet treat in the evening when I’m watching tv rather than grabbing a chocolate bar 👍🏻
They still aren’t the healthiest but in moderation they will work out a lot better for me I think!

This morning for breakfast I just ate a strawberry nutrigrain bar on the go for a quick bit of something!
And for lunch I had a chicken, lettuce and reduced fat coleslaw sandwich with cucumber and pepper sticks and a spoonful of low fat caramelised onion hummus!👍🏻 so tasty!

I have the day off uni so this morning I attempted to make baked oats because I’ve seen so many people make delicious looking ones!

Some Mondays I wonder why I bother putting on mascara at all. (Could be because I have always had a complex about looking a little too masculine without makeup on...which is silly, I know….but still…).

Either way, I know I will just cry it off once I get into marriage counseling. (You gotta remember...I'm a big crier, though 😂😭😂)

I remember 6 years ago becoming a parent and not knowing what I was doing. It took a long time before realizing, as our family grew more and more, so much of my past was creeping into my present - and I didn’t really know how to keep up in marriage.
.
.
All that to say….we’re on a journey….a really, really good and hard one.
.
.
AND. It’s my favorite new word. Things are hard AND worth it. Things feel risky sometimes AND scary AND I know I need to jump in with both feet anyway. And. And. And. Life is broken AND good.
.
.
This last month was really hard for some weirdo reason. But more than anything, I was reminded (actually by other coaches in my network….not trying to shamelessly plug - but they just were the ones who gave me the advice!) to keep showing up authentically, and being real….WE ALL have the drama, the sucky stuff, the frustrating moments. No one needs to wall up and hideaway because things feel WAY hard….you know….like too hard... Personally, I think showing up, itself, is all kinds of hard, though.

.
Anyhoot…..so today...here I is, y’all! We kicked butt in marriage counseling - which actually sometimes for me, feels like getting my butt kicked - ROFL. Some sessions feel so hard for me I never want to go back….but I know I have to work through my past to get to a brighter future. Man!! That "AND". They are hard AND I will show up anyway. Risky…..AND…..worth it.

I have a hate love/relationship with picking healthier lifestyle choices for meal time. This morning i decided to love my body and eat some plain yogurt + granola.
Let me just say, it taste like heaven. @heb offers its own brand of granola, and the kind I absolutely LOVE is the cocoa granolas with dark chocolate chips! It’s definitely a must try for anyone who’s looking for a new tasty morning snack 🥄
Ps: anyone who’s says dark chocolate isn’t healthy should do more research it’s good for your heart they say ;)

Since being on a nutrition plan I always find it a burden to eat out now however when those special occasions do arise it doesn’t have to mean the end of your nutrition, be smart check out the menu and keep choosing the right foods! Going to a restaurant doesn’t mean throwing your efforts away! There’s always great alternatives and if there’s not you should think about where else you could spend your money for nutritious food! The only down side of this meal comes from the prawn cocktail sauce however going slightly out your macros once in a while will be fine as long as you get right back on your plan! ✌🏼 what do you choose when eating out to stick within your fitness goals? I’d love to know! ✌🏼😋

We all have those days where the day looks totally different than we thought it would…like sitting in your car during church with a mad kid, when you just want to be inside sitting, listening, in your church seat with an angelic child just coloring and quietly listening.
