DAY2 of my Intermittent Fasting. Getting the hang of this eating habit. Is not bad at all for me.
This is my Day 2 schedule. Day1 dinner was at 6pm.
For day# 2, on 6/22/18, I woke up and just had my detox Te divina detox tea in the morning around 8am. And plenty of water.
Had my first food [lunch] 11:30am And Dinner at 7:30pm.
In between This hours my body did not crave food. And I just kept my body hydrated. I'm surprise that I was able to hang this long without having food. I'm thinking going full 24hrs. But well shall see, how my body does tomorrow for day3. I'm taking it, one day at a time. Also it is my Day4 no processed sugar intake. Oh yeah, feels good. I did smell chocolate and for a split second i felt like i wanted to eat it. It passed and my body wasn't interested in having it. Are you doing IF? This time last week I was at the Young Living Convention with thousands of oily friends!
.
It was amazing, fulfilling, eye-opening and a ton of freaking fun! But also.. a lot of people and extroverting. My MIL asked me how I handled being around so many people (30,000+). You know what? Being around 30,000 kind and like minded people, that you choose to spend time with, is so much different than being thrown into a crowd of “strangers.” It truly felt like everyone knew everyone, like family!

Everyone is treated so kindly, not judge, no one is pushing their beliefs on anyone… its the best feeling of belonging I have ever experienced.
.
Y’all, there isn’t a “certain type” of person that belongs to this community. This opportunity is for ANYONE; from big tough, bearded, Harley-riding dudes to the full on crunchy mama and everyone in between. There is plenty of room for you. There is plenty of success left for EVERYONE!

All you need is a desire to live better, make healthier choices, take care you and your family’s wellness. Thats it! If that sounds like something you want to be a part of, then we need to chat.

I've been asked A LOT lately - "what's up with your health kick?" Well let me tell you: #healthmatters
I'm a cardiac nurse that spends her days seeing the effects that poor health habits can wreak on people.

When you are young - you feel invincible. You don't think your actions will matter...at least not yet, right?
Well fast forward to your 30's,40's, 50's and beyond...and all those choices catch up with you.
So here's an easy tip to help decrease your risk for both heart disease and type 2 diabetes>>> Shrink your waist!

The National Institute of Health states that "Measuring waist circumference helps screen for possible health risks that come with overweight and obesity. If most of your fat is around your waist rather than at your hips, you’re at a higher risk for heart disease and type 2 diabetes." So now the question is how do we do it? Easier said than done, right? Well - here are 3 easy action steps to get you started:

1. GET MOVING: daily activity people - doesn't have to be a marathon - but get those steps in!

2. Portion Control: There will always be debates about what foods are good/bad, what "diets" are the best...but one thing stands out. PORTION.CONTROL.

3. Proper Supplementation: There are supplements to augment fat reduction (decrease waist size), support joint mobility and healthy cartilage (so you can MOVE), assist in digestive regularity (POOPING - It's important. Being "regular" isn't just for the old people to obsess about). Are YOU ready to join the movement?

Friday night sweet treat! Dark Chocolate Energy Balls! These are SO good, SO easy, and the perfect treat!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup peanut butter or almond butter
1/4 cup raw honey
1/2 cup finely chopped almonds
2 1/4 scoops of Chocolate or Vanilla Shakeology
2 tbsp dark chocolate chips
Instructions:
Combine peanut butter, honey, almonds, Shakeology and chocolate chips in a medium bowl; mix well.
Roll into thirteen balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Store in fridge and ENJOY!

Like most of us our minds are constantly running with negative thoughts, and sometimes hard to shut off. Some result to the use of pills, staying busy or even alcohol to stop the thoughts. This may help temporarily, but what happens when you stop taking the pills? Or Stop drinking alcohol? Can you really stay busy 24/7? The thoughts will come back and probably in a worse manner. Who do you think brings on these negative thoughts? Well if you guessed Satan then you are correct! Ellen White talks about how God is the author of every Noble Thought and how He formed man’s mind, and she is correct! She also mentions that Satan can’t touch our mind or intellect unless we give it to him, the devil will use our mind if we do so. Before I started to get into reading the Bible, someone gave me a book to read talking about how there is a constant battle in our minds, and how Jesus can help us get rid of those thoughts, this got my attention to get closer to God. Every day there is a constant battle going on in our heads, whether it’s how someone thinks about you, loneliness, suspicions or even finance issues. The devil knows what we like and what we don’t like, he knows our insecurities, weaknesses and fears and will use them to his ability. He does not want us to trust God, he wants us to try and deal with them how the world deals with them, by using drugs, alcohol, prescription pills or even hypnosis. Satan sets up strong holds in our minds at a very young age and uses it against us later in life, one of Satan’s strengths is patience, he has nothing but time. So we must break away from these strong holds that he builds in our minds, and how do we do this? With God! 🌱Prevention is the best cure. Make an intention to take steps towards better health now, whether it be cutting out processed foods, getting more active, or seeking help from a trusted holistic practitioner to get you started. Honour your body, you only have one! 👫

Started with a normal morning, now we’re here. 😏 I haven’t taped my knee(s) in years. I battled ITBS back in the day and taped them all the time. Strengthening, correcting my stride, correcting my shoes, upping my magnesium, foam rolling and KT tape got me through that. Now this morning, I did a single leg squat and did something to my right knee. 😔 I modified the rest of my workout and then taped it right up. I managed to run on it later in the day so I’m hoping it doesn’t amount to anything more. 🤞🏼 I am very grateful for KT tape for moments like this though.😅 It’s incredible stuff!
Who else loves their KT tape? 〰️〰️〰️ P.S. Jasper is just as bummed as I am and gets an A+ in empathy! 😆

"I made it!" ☝️I recall entering the surgical room & listening to some old school songs from the 90's & singing along with the nurse...good vibes & prayers received, I was at Peace. I was given a nerve block pump to assist in numbing the left side of my leg. I can be a bit of a loner.
We moved around a lot growing up so I was always the new girl at school. I learned to be content in my own company. And now, as a #daycaremom, as precious as are my days spent with little ones, I can lack adult connections at times.
I draw strength from the company of good people, encouraging and supportive friends, faith building friends. They inspire me to step out of myself, try new things, keep hope strong.

I WAS BROKEN.

No confidence. No will power. No motivation. No belief in myself.
