I have been many sizes over the span of my 20’s. Honestly, I have never been happy with my body until recently. I have always thought I needed to diet and exercise to be a certain weight so that I would be happy. It’s definitely not that easy! I think a lot of times, dieting takes away nutrients and calories we neeeeeed to strive and exercising too much leaves us stressed, which also doesn’t help our body and mind. So in the end, when you are the weight you wanted to be...what does it matter if you’re having a plethora of other issues? I think about how much anxiety I had in my 20’s about everythingggg along with stomach issues. Was it related to dieting and being obsessive about exercise? Idk but my anxiety at this point is prob Less then 1/4 of what it used to be and my stomach goes through no where near as many issues as it used too! I have changed my diet and exercise habits a lot since then but I still think being obsessive about anything can cause issues. .

I think worrying about weight is sometimes the wrong thing to worry about. We need to look at our health first and foremost. Are we sleeping well? Are we having mental health issues? How are we dealing with stress? Do we have a lot of stress? Are we able to get some sort of movement in without it making ourselves super tired? How is our digestive health? Are we happy? Sooooo many more questions I could think of that have nothing to do with weight! .

I don’t think any specific weight can truly make anyone happy until we have taken care of our bodies in all the other ways it needs to be taken care of. Even then, the low weight you had in mind probably won’t make your body most happy. And you should be okay with that if you respect your body and what it needs to work optimally (which is hard!). I am so glad to have gotten to this point but I know it is always an ongoing process and like with anything, you can have bad days and good days. .

I hope this is worth reading for someone because reading things like this are some of the main ways I got myself out of my diet fixation. Let’s end the weight and diet fixation so people can actually get healthy and be happy with their bodies! 💪🏼

Always a working progress💪 I want to become the HEALTHIEST I can be! My food choices are aligned with having balance in life. I don't have a mindset that I am having to do it because I have to ~ I choose to as I know that eating well makes me feel good🌿 I exercise and move my body to keep in feeling strong. Nurturing my body is the greatest thing in life ~ preparing for life long health🌏 I want to EMPOWER others to take control of their health, their body, their mind☯️ Finding balance in life.

Because I #Pushed.
I pushed today...and it feels G R E A T!! I received that message today from Shaun T at the end.of my workout. He asked "Did you push?" (And what an appropriate message on MLK day!) I did PUSH!
Last week I felt defeated in my workouts more so than not. But I never stopped. And because of that, I was THAT much stronger today. And I was able to push through THAT much more!

I don't know if it was the cumulative effects of my effort....my #Energize.... or the #BloodMoon. I won't question it though and I will keep this feeling all day baby!
Because #ICan
You can too! I know you want big things..so go for it!

Total Body Shit with an upper body focus! 🔥

I’ll say it over and over again if I have to but I’m all about training with a purpose. Sure we can have her sit and get some upper body work that way. It’ll still increase her strength right? Yes, it will BUT is it more likely that she’ll be standing and need to lift something overhead or sitting and having to lift something overhead? In this specific situation, I know how active she is and what she’ll need outside of our training sessions so I always program what’s most beneficial to her ✊🏽

It’s important to always make sure and cater to the individual and to NOT generalize any of the workouts in any way. This may seem like such a small thing but don’t take my word for it. Ask the people getting the results 🤷🏽‍♂️

One of my favorite exercises to get the whole body involved while giving my arms and back a nice little burnout.

One thing you’ll notice most about this landlmine row is that she’s wrapping her hands directly around the bar instead of using handles. I like to prepare people for real life situations so I try to simulate some of that in the actual training ✊🏽 Always remember to approach this with a purpose 💪🏽 No Blind training 🙅🏽‍♂️

Let’s talk Digestive Issues 👋🏼 💩
