I had a pretty rough day. My manager called me at 6:30am asking me to cover the shift of someone who called out so I took the opportunity to make some money but I obviously didn’t plan for that to happen so I didn’t have my breakfast or lunch prepped. I packed some oatmeal, protein powder, almonds and avocado toast to snack on but I basically skipped lunch. I doubled up on protein powder and bought some pre workout and still powered through my workout. But I was craving a burger so I treated myself for being so resilient. Burger, no bun, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, grilled onions and mushrooms, bacon and Colby cheese. Made myself a burger salad. SLOW🆚FAST DIGESTION? 🕵️📖🕵️️ Slow or fast that is the question. I’m sure you’ve heard people say one is better than the other but it really depends on the context you’re talking about. They are both great in specific situations and don’t let anyone else tell you either wise

If you are trying to lose fat and your calories aren’t as high as they would normally be, choosing more slow digestion options 80 percent of the time is the key to not going over your calories. On the other hand if you are in a calorie surplus trying to gain lean muscle, fast digesting food will help you get more calories in without feeling full all the time
.
I would apply the 80/20 rule to fast vs slow digestion in a calorie deficit and a 70/30 rule to when you’re in a calorie surplus

Sebelum ni abam selalu dgn tagline gemuk is awesome. Maksud dia memang bukan nak suruh org lain gemuk. Maksud dia nak bagitahu orang gemuk pun bleh berjaya, sama je macam org kurus. High confidence kena tinggi wpun fizikal besar.

Cuma sampai waktu kita kena sedar gemuk ni bleh menyebabkan banyak penyakit lain. Utk dapatkan baby pun agak sukar. Jadi ketika masih muda ni, masih banyak tenaga untuk buat senaman selain jaga makan.

I’ve always been a yo-yo dieter. I’d start and stop and start and stop. I’d get frustrated with not seeing results and then think “f*ck it” i may as well eat my body weight in greasy food. I realise now the gym wasn’t the problem, my mindset definitely was. Reaching out for guidance from a PT and investing in my health was the best thing i could have done. My fiance lives in Japan currently for work and as of now I live in the United States, finishing My Masters. I love to send him packages of things he misses which are not easy to find in #Tokyo. We love our business, each other, the products we produce, sell and live on every day within our business. The lifestyle of being fit forever or as long as we possibly can. It’s not an easy task but it becomes a great habit to have.

Let's look at this logically. We have 24 hours in a day and I’m assuming that you’re going to exercise for 1 hour a day, seven days a week. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The time you take to exercise is in fact only 0.5% of your day. I know, the infographic says 1% but that’s because it rounded up.

So, does it make sense that 0.5% of your day will get you 100% of the results?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Not to mention, not everyone has the time or commitment to go every single day to the gym.

If you’re starting out and trying to lose fat I suggest that you work equally hard on the things that are often ignored that I’ve noted in the majority of your time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Get more sleep
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Develop a productive routine
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Work on improving your habits
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Implement a yummy whole foods based diet you enjoy
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Don’t neglect your mindset
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Be more active throughout the day
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Rest, recover and de-stress
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And last but not least, you gotta enjoy your life. You’re NOT a number on the scale YO!

Turkey meatballs and zucchini! One of the only vegetables I don’t mind eating for every meal. This is my go to meal when I want something easy to make and that I can prepare big batches of. It stores well in the fridge and is satisfying and delicious 😋

I went a little crazy the last two times I shopped at our local @walmart 🤣 They have a big clearance bin with “open-box” bars marked wayyyyy down - 75¢ and 50¢ each! Soooo, I did what anybody else would do...I bought ALOT of them!!! All vegan, gluten free, some are more of a “healthier” snack option rather than a healthy protein bar...but, at these prices.... #nobrainer 🤷🏻‍♀️
