I saw a post claiming that people do not need to consume animal protein to become healthy and strong, which is actually true, but the reasoning was based around there being many animals that do not consume animal protein (plant only) and are incredibly strong (gorilla, elephant, rhinoceros, etc.). However, aside from the translation to humans is completely over generalized (why doesn’t mouse research always translate to humans? Because they aren’t human). Statements like this may make sense, but they are not founded in any real argument other than, “she’s doing it, we would be better off doing it, too.” – this is the same argument I would use if someone said we should eat only meat, because lions, wolves, and cheetahs are strong and deadly and almost exclusively consume meat. Stick to your species!
