You've made the decision. Monday you were going to become one who embodies health. You woke up, maybe didn't even fight with the snooze. You hydrated and eat a "clean" breakfast. Maybe even one upped yourself and stopped by a juice bar. You're feeling good! You smile to somebody you normally wouldn't. This is your day. Lunch comes around & you pull out your nuts and fruit. You get a sense of self satisfaction for challenging the status quo catered lunches at the office. You're playing at a higher level now!

Hours pass. The pangs arise. Tom reaches in his pocket and pulls out a snickers. Why does tom keep a snickers in his pocket? You crave the chocolate. "Don't do it!" You tell yourself. Your will power is draining from all the healthy decisions you've chosen to make. Not to mention the 100's of work decisions you've made. Should I work on these papers or Surf Facebook? Should I call prospects or watch cat videos? The decisions are endless. Finally! The clock hits that magical number. & the shackles from your job release you. Your stomach growls. You can't wait to eat! The growl turns into a howl!! It starts to dawn on you. You have NOTHING prepared at home. You might have some fruit and yogurt but man that's not enough. You drive past your favorite fast food place. "I was really good today & I haven't eaten much. I really do need the carbs, otherwise my body will enter a catabolic state or whatever phrase that YouTuber guy used." You get home. Eat the food & fat shame yourself. You now dedicate TOMORROW to be the day your life changes.
Don't be that person. Meal prep so you don't have to make the decisions of what to eat. Meal prep so there can be no excuses. Meal prep as if your health depended on it... because it does. Seriously.

R I S O T T O de coliflor y hongos

—ingredientes—
- 1 paquete arroz de coliflor organico (350gr)
- 15 pzas champiñones
- 5 pzas setas*
- 10 pzas shitake
- 1/8 pza cebolla (un puño ya picada)
- 150gr queso de cabra
- 2 cdas vinagre blanco o vino blanco
- Aceite de oliva
- Aceite de aguacate
- Sal de grano
- Aceite de trufa
- Arugula
- Queso parmesano

—procedimiento—
- Calentar aceite de aguacate con aceite de oliva. Una vez caliente (no dejar que se humee) agregar la cebolla y dorar.
- Por otro lado, saltear los hongos con aceite de oliva y sal del Himalaya.
- Una vez dorada la cebolla, agregar la coliflor, dejar sudar por 5-10 min.
- Agregar el vinagre blanco o vino blanco y dejar evaporar.
- Agregar los hongos y tapar por 10min.
- En una olla, colocar 1 taza de agua con el queso de cabra hasta que se diluya.
- Agregar la mitad la coliflor y dejar que se consuma, agregar la otra mitad (no dejar consumir del todo)**
- Servir, agregar aceite de trufa, queso parmesano y arugula fresca.

- Puedes sustituir los hongos por espárragos y/o corazones de alcachofa.
- El aceite de trufa SIEMPRE se agrega antes de servir.
- Cocina a fuego BAJO

Y’all I’m wearing an XL t-shirt...and see the pink that totally doesn’t match sticking out the bottom? Yep, that’s a tank top under my XL t-shirt!! One of the moms on K’s softball team made these shirts for the parents on her team and I was a little nervous about ordering an extra large because I was afraid it would be too tight. I have always aired on the side of I like my clothes bigger and I don’t want to have to stretch them to make them fit. Tonight when she handed me my shirt I just put it over my arm since I already had a tan top on and decided I would try it on when I got home. As all the other parents got their shirts they started putting them on so I decided I would try it on and if it was too tight I would just take it off. Well ladies and gents guess what...it fit! No pulling or tugging needed! I was so proud to be able to put it on and support my daughter❤️ Hello NSV!

🏋🏻‍♀️FITNESS TIP OF THE WEEK🤸🏻‍♂️

Do you tend to over-complicate things when it comes to your health & fitness? STOP THAT 🛑 And Keep It Simple Silly! (K.I.S.S.) 💋

1️⃣ Nutrition: No need to count calories or do anything crazy! Focus on eating whole natural foods, limit sugars, eat healthy fats, have healthy food ready to go, prioritize eating veggies, limit carbs on days that you are less active and eat them around your workouts, don’t drink calories, try not to eat process foods, I CAN GO ON ALL DAY 😅
2️⃣ Exercise: Do things that you enjoy! Try to do moderate activity for 30 min at least 3x week, mix cardio and weight training activities, work full body during your lifts, interval training is preferred over steady state cardio for fat loss.
3️⃣ General Health: Drink plenty of water, sleep 7-8 hours a night, do activities that bring you joy and happiness, be thoughtful about the food you eat, have a meditative practice, practice being Present 👊🏼 Try these for yourself! #jsfit💪

Ooo yes now who loves chocolate and ice cream like I do??? This is seriously a healthy version without taking away the deliciousness of your usual ice cream!!! Method: 👉Blend the flesh of 2 young coconuts (take care to remove all the husk) 1/4 cup hemp seeds (this gives a really silly finish), 1/2 cup raw cashews, maple syrup and cacao to taste (start with 2 tbsp of each and go from there) with 1/3 cup coconut cream OR 1/3 cup of the left over coconut water if you prefer. 👉Keep blending until it's super silky smooth. 👉Pour into an ice cream maker and follow directions of your particular appliance OR pour into a container and place in the freezer, and use a fork every half hour or so to fluff out the mixture as it sets.
PS this makes an AMAZING chocolate mousse! Pour into individual glass jars and set in the fridge 👌

PPS add some extra texture and indulgence with some cocoa nibs, roasted nuts or dark chocolate chunks 🙊

Please excuse the up-close and goofy selfie, but this was my exact expression when I saw what a commando is on the @sweat app and realized they wanted my body to do it. To say arms and abs was a struggle is a major understatement. The mountain climber push-up 4:1s and the commandos are going to take some reallll work. On the positive side, I can tell I’m getting stronger already. My lay down pushups and toe touches were much easier this time. 💪🏻👊🏻

Always great when a client realizes that the number on the scale is just a number. A simple data point, but not the only one. Just because the needle isn’t going in the direction you want it to, doesn’t mean change isn’t happening. .

📚 Late night study sesh going on.
I know I’m not the only one who thinks there are #notenoughhoursintheday 🙌
And I also know there are many who think that being a #stayathomemom is a lot easier than a 9 to 5.
So I’m here to say that a) no, there are not enough hours in the day. And b) I worked 3 jobs, went to massage school at night, & took care of 10 dogs & THAT was a walk in the damn park compared to being a SAHM! (& yes I am so thankful to stay home with my kids but man is it the hardest job ever!)
Which leads me to c)I’m up late again working on my next chapter of life, my personal trainer certification. I love how it overlaps my world of being a #licensedmassageandbodyworktherapist 💕
I’m determined to get this done ASAP!
