Here we are, last summer when Jeff & I committed to a 3 week program that slowly increased the workout time & incorporated carb cycling in a healthy way😉which always left our bodies guessing & getting results quickly.

I rarely ever get a bad cold in the winter... and that’s because I do the most traditional method of preventing and curing a cold. Yes! I use menthol rub. Menthol rub acts as cough/cold suppressant, temporarily relieving symptoms associated with the common cold, but you have to catch it when it’s just starting. The cool thing is there are no side effects compared to the over the counter drugs. And it works very fast! Happy Tuesday! Day 16th and we are loving all this WATER!

During this month’s challenge, we have been drinking Lime water with salt every morning. Before coffee, your morning OJ and/or any food. But why lime water and not lemon? Both are great alternatives to each other but lemons juice in water is every common. And now a days, with the daily stresses we put on our bodies, constantly hustling, lime juice is the clear winner. 🦄Check out some of the benefits of Lime water & salt: • Detoxification of the liver • Adrenal function
• Assists with digestion and absorption • Assists in elimination process
• Assists with hydration levels 🍋** In case you are wondering, lemon juice assists in enzymes function and is more of a gentile detox.

This is an awesome way to start the day! And for all of you guys following the guideline to the tee, you guys know how good it is to start your day. Maybe you are getting up more but it part of the cause.
It's not too late to start drinking your water if you haven’t been following this part consistently. 🖖The back to basics challenge is all about thinking about the little things that we ignore, forget or haven’t cared about until now. I’m a big believer in:
1. Starting your kids off right for the day with healthy, low-sugar foods
2. Making healthy kid meal prep as easy as humanly possible (less cooking/cleanup = better for everyone!)
3. Not stocking your pantry with tempting junk food (I need all the help I can get to get over my voracious sweet tooth & I try to lead by example)

It IS possible to feed your kids a quick, delicious and healthy breakfast without sacrificing your time. I am always on the lookout for healthy pantry items to keep on hand so healthy eating is sustainable everyday, instead of reserved only for special circumstances when there is a lot time and energy that can be dedicated to prep. Don’t get me wrong, I love to prepare and cook more elaborate things from scratch, but those elaborate things are not meant for weekday mornings.

On the menu this morning is:
Peanut Butter Pistachio Toast with Fresh Fruit
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
INGREDIENTS:
•Dave’s Killer Bread, Powerseed (My new favorite bread! Sweetened with only fruit juice, 1g sugar per slice)
•Crushed raw pistachio nuts
•Creamed cinnamon honey
•Natural peanut butter
•Apples
•Bananas (or your fruit of choice)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
TECHNIQUE:
Toast bread. Spread thin layer creamed honey. Spread thin layer peanut butter. Sprinkle with crushed pistachios. Cut up into toddler-sized bites. Add a side serving of whatever fresh (not canned) fruit you have on hand. I had a banana and some apple.

You guys, this literally took me minutes to prepare! Longest part was toasting the bread.

TIP: Crush pistachios in advance and keep a sealed container of them in the pantry. That makes it easier to use on busy weekday mornings! .

🕑Antes o después❓Por cúanto tiempo❓Adecuados o dañinos ❓... 🤔😅 Partiendo de la base que cada día salen estudios nuevos y al igual que avanza la tecnologia debemos renovarnos y adaptarnos • 😜👌🏼 Así que no me meto en conflicto, os aporto lo que yo hago que he aprendido con los años y me funciona: 🔛🏋🏽‍♀️ 1️⃣Antes del ejercicio CALENTAMiENTO y ACTIVACIÓN Muscular (si tengo un rodillo mejor, se llaman Foam Roller💈)• 2️⃣ Después del entreno hago mis estiramientos completos por 10 minutos (a mi porque me parece una parte fundamental y me encanta😍 y siii, se que la mayoria los odiais..😔) Pero un buen estiramiento te salva de futuras lesiones y ayuda la rehabilitación, de que te sirve 1h de entrene cada dia si estas siempre lesionado o con dolores❓❓☹️ •



🧘🏽‍♀️Aquí es un stretching de cuadriceps ✔️Muy importante estirar este músculo, ya que tiende a acortarse si pasamos mucho tiempo sentados ‼️‼️En esta posición: Inspira y al expirar, presiona el talón contra el glúteo, metiendo el vientre duro🏋🏽‍♀️ • Para más tirantez adelanta la cadera🙏🏼•
