Toujours un réveil difficile le jeudi matin 😇🤷‍♂️. Jamais le temps de cuisiner du coup. Moi qui aurait bien mangé des pancakes 😋. Tant pis, je me rattraperai demain matin 😂😂😂.

Porridge habituel, enfin non car j’ai utilisé la farine d’avoine goût brownie (gros changement vous allez me dire 😂😂😂). Sinon, toujours 60g de flocons d’avoine, 150 mL de lait d’amandes, une cuillère à café de farine d’avoine aromatisée et c’est parti pour une minute trente au micro-onde. On mélange, on remet un peu de lait si besoin et encore 30 petites secondes. J’ai ajouté des myrtilles, des framboises, une clémentine et mon petit BN habituel.

Le jeudi, toujours une grosse journée 😱. Boulot, séance bras/cardio/abdos pendant la pause de midi et ce soir réunion parents/profs qui va se terminer tard 😵. On se réconforte en se disant que c’est bientôt le week-end 😬. Bonne journée à tous !!!

This information might change your mindset of food. In this post I’ll be covering 3 important things: the importance of food, the effects food has on your body, what meals should consist of.
👉 Food is extremely important not only for muscle growth, but for overall function also. As most of you know, we get our energy from the food we intake. Food needs to be thought of as fuel for our body’s. When looking at it in the perspective, would you rather get your energy from cake 🎂 🍰 or from nutrient rich Whole Foods? 🥦 🥩 I don’t know about you, but I would pick the second option every time. This should have you second guessing your food choices. A good daily balance for meals would be 80% nutrient rich Whole (fuel) Foods and 20% pleasure foods. 👉 Food effects one’s body significantly. It’s pretty obvious that certain food choices can decrease risks of diseases like heart disease, diabetes, and arthritis. Also, helps maintain a well operating body and healthy organs, but what isn’t obvious is the effect food can have on someone PHYSICALLY and MENTALLY. It’s a proven fact that a poor diet can have negative effects a person’s mental health. I have people ask me how I’m always in a great mood and I honestly believe the food I intake plays a huge role in that! Eating healthier will make you more alert, feel more energized, and put you in a better mood! I guarantee you all, that a healthy diet will change you for the better! 👉 lastly, what a meal should consist of! A well rounded meal should involve protein, complex carbs, and healthy fats. Good sources of protein are: eggs, chicken breast, steak, fish, turkey, and beans. Good carb sources are: potatoes, rice, pasta, and oats, fruit, and vegetables. Fats are very important and should include: nuts, fat from meat, healthy oils, and natural spreads like almond butter.
With this information I hope you make the right choice and help your body become more healthy. You only get one body, so take care of it and love it. -

Give it up for another member of the RCSN Fitness crew: Derek Ross!
Derek Ross is an avid runner and obstacle course racer from Maryland. He is currently on a #300racemission. He has completed over 200 races. This race mission includes 5K's, 10K's, 10-Milers, Trail Races, Spartan Races, etc. He has labeled this race mission for him as the ultimate accountability mission. Meaning, Monday through Friday, he can't relax. He must sleep, eat, and train effectively with the expectation of running races every weekend. This race mission was started in 2015 as a way to take on depression. After a lot of high's and low's as a runner, more importantly, some successful 1st place finishes, Derek still yearns for more growth and success as an athlete. Derek is a trainer, with a Group Fitness Instructor and Running Injury Prevention Certification. He looks to gain more certification's and encourage other's to pursue their own #300racemission.

This is my all time favorite breakfast 🤤!!!
It tastes like a cake but it’s #vegan and #healthy !!! Whenever I eat this fine bowl, it reminds me of strawberry cheesecake because it taste so similar 😍. I love to put a scoop of some #veganprotein powder in the flavor vanilla into my oats to make them even more creamy 👍. For toppings I added cacao nibs, like always, and pumpkin seeds!! (I also put into my oats some chia seeds and flaxseeds)

[Day 345 of 365] homemade dinner for a rather chilly-ish Los Angeles night (I mean it's 51°F/10°C but that's pretty cool here). Sous vide brined pork loin and roasted organic cauliflower. The soup was an adapted revelation from @bonappetitmag ... celery and chickpea soup with homemade turkey stock, topped with chile-garlic oil, salted yogurt and lemon dressed celery leaves. So simple but the ingredients together worked so well. Also, now that @bravotopchef is back, M and I will be way more critical of our cooking #👩‍🍳
