We may think that worrying about something will help change the result, but worry doesn’t do that. When something goes “wrong”, we don’t have to worry even though we may think we do. Worry upsets our nervous system, and especially affects those of us who are Highly Sensitive. -

I’ve been worrying more lately and trying to apply my own medicine. I’ve realized that worry doesn’t serve me whatsoever. There are many things outside my control, and worrying about them doesn’t do anything at all except causes me to feel stress. No matter the circumstance, we can be worry-free. And, the things that are within my control do NOT require worry to take action. -

Next time your having worried thoughts, calm your mind and body. Write down your worried thoughts getting them out of your brain and giving them less power. Pay attention to how you feel in your body when you worry. Release. Breathe. Do something to calm your nervous system. You are worth it. 💋

✨A monthly gathering for the Highly Sensitive Therapist who is more intuitive, empathetic, and perceptive but may be struggling with overwhelm, anxiety, perfectionism or exhaustion.

✨Each gathering will begin with a brief check-in and time for self-reflection around a theme through journaling and discussion. We’ll then move into a gentle yoga class taught be a fellow psychotherapist. For those who wish to stay, we’ll reserve time for a community discussion following yoga.

I always envied people who had a very clear sense of self at a young age. Unfortunately, like many other HSPs I believed what I was told - that I was "too sensitive," that I should be more like everyone else, that there was something wrong with me. I now know better, but it's taken me a long time to figure out who I am but it's life-changing. It's so hard to live life as someone you're not. You have to strip away all the layers of what's not true, all the beliefs and condition that made you think there was something wrong with you. Want more personal freedom and power in your life? Take more responsibility. I know that feels counterintuitive but it’s not. We’ve been taught that with great power comes great responsibility. Maybe that’s even felt daunting and kept us staying small for fear of what power will bring us. But true personal power is linked to freedom. And this is the truth that really matters: with great responsibility comes great power. If you’re not taking full responsibility for your emotions, your thoughts, your body, your environment, your purpose - you are stuck in victim mentality. Victims are powerless. You are not a victim. Even though it may not feel like it, since you might be so used to the opposite, you DO get to choose whether something or someone outside of you determines how your life goes. You can also choose to decide for yourself how you want life to be. If this feels hard, believe me I understand - I was a classic victim. I loved whining and complaining. It was how I tried to connect with people and gain some kind of control over my life. But it never worked. I finally got sick of feeling trapped and powerless and I taught myself how and why to take responsibility for myself (and not for others, which is a classic victim and codependency trap). Now that I am solid in my owning of myself, I can move more gracefully through life. Shit still happens (we’re humans, that’s always going to be part of the equation), but now I’m less flappable, I can respond rather than react, and another person’s reaction doesn’t dissolve me into spirals of doubt about my self worth. How did I do it? By using all the things I’m committed to teaching you: hypnosis, yoga nidra, breathwork, and ceremony. Mostly it comes down to self love. If I can do it, you definitely can! Mono mealing on purple sweet potatoes today. 🍠🍠🍠

Ever have one of those days when you look in the fridge and only have one or two ingredients left? Yeah, me too! Not enough for a 'real meal' you think? Well, think again.

Here's the thing. Once in a while eating one ingredients meals may also be beneficial. Especially if you have a sensitive stomach, suffer from food sensitivities or simply want to connect with the source of your food on a deeper level.

Although there may not be much scientific evidence around it yet, eating mono meals may really help with digestion. It takes away the enzymatic - craziness that goes on when we go about combining foods of different kinds such as protein, fats and carbs. Technically we should be equipped with the appropriate amount of enzymes to brake down all the foods we eat. Yet, sometimes in reality this is not the case. #lifeofthesensitive

By eating a mono meal you are allowing a break for your digestion. You may also be able to identify food sensitivities easier ( you'll know exactly what it is that didn't make you feel so well). And best of all, you are allowing your taste buds to fully enjoy the one ingredient you are consuming, in essence also allowing you to connect more deeply with your food.

To be able to sit quietly with nothing but our beautiful beating heart is when we can know we’ve truly arrived at peace.

To be able to rest comfortably in the unknown, knowing that soon we will have to say goodbye to this person, this place, this house, this life, this experience, this business, this idea, is when we can know we’ve begun to truly let go and allow what is.

It’s in those tender and quiet moments with ourselves when we are able to gently reflect upon all the times we can now know we were forcing, pushing, destroying, hustling or toying with everything that simply wasn’t truth, that we can know we’ve begun to reach into the deeper divinity within ourselves that laughably we were hungrily scavenging for all along.
To be able to rest in our own gentleness, bask in our own being, bathe in our own light, feel our own love...isn’t this what we’re all hoping to experience elsewhere, outside, in the shadows?

So isn’t it funny to finally know that there is nowhere else we need to search, nothing else we need to do, change or fix, no one else we need to ask.
It was here all along....infinite presence, timeless beauty, boundless love...right here in our centre, at our core, where now we can rest.

Fellow INFJ's ... How big was the revelation when you discovered what the INFJ door slam was? It was a big thing for me. I saw for the first time that I wasn't the only one who shut people out of my life when they hurt me to many times. Now, I see the Patten clearly in my past and I recognize the tendency in my present. I know it's not always healthy to door slam but it's done my protect my fragile inner self. Tell me your story!

As an empath, spending time in nature grounds me, I just love it so much. I love taking road trips to national parks, Big Bear when there’s snow, or even just taking a drive by the beach in my hometown of San Diego. 😍🌲🌸🌴🌊 Mother Earth and all her beauty is truly glorious when you take the time to see it with fresh eyes. 💕 Can you tell I LOVE flowers? They’re honestly my fave backdrop for pics!
Maybe it’s because I work from home, being an online coach and all-but when I go outside now I truly appreciate what I see and feel. ✨🙏🏽 So today I’m just feeling immensely grateful for my surroundings and the awareness to appreciate them with. 🥰
