An afternoon hike with moments of...enthusiasm. I mostly kept it to a walk/hike, like 90% of the time. There were occasional bursts of energy to cover some flat ground...and then I did jog a few blocks at the end. But I really just wanted to get out for some work and see what's up with my foot. It went pretty well, especially since I was focusing on the steps where any strain was. Interestingly, it's July 1st, the beginning of the second half of the year. I hiked this same trail on January 1st. Something something new beginnings?
I followed up the walk/hike/jog with the beginning of a July plank challenge with fellow dancers. (Can I still say "fellow" dancers if I haven't been out dancing in forever? ) At any rate, I survived 30 seconds. Yup, survived. Gotta start somewhere! I'll increase by 5 seconds each day. Challenge accepted, @jonrogul!
