The Milky Way may be gone for the next few months, but that won’t keep me from looking forward to more nights under the stars next summer. Here’s a little throwback to one of my favorite Milky Way shots of the year, and one that took a bit of planning and waiting! ——————————————— Interested in purchasing this print, or learning how I process my images? repost @chrisbrinleejr **** Follow @hiking_with.friend.gram Two bluebird days were forecast before a big storm; on the hike into Mount Earnslaw, it started to feel a lot like summer--except for the 60 pounds of stuff on my back: Mountaineering gear, skis, and a packraft.
Fortunately after the first couple of hours I could cache the raft by the Rees River before our 1,800m (6,000 feet) vertical hike up to the hut. It was just a test run, after all. No sense in carrying it all up just to carry it back down to the same place.

Do you like this breathtaking landscape? 😍 These are Porcile's Lake, a group of small pools nestled between Foppolo and Valtellina. ☝️ This one, the Lago Grande, is 2030m a.s.l.! ⛰ In this season, colours are incredible, don't you think? . ------ .
Another hopeful backpacking trip spoiled by the rain. Instead we took a beautiful day hike around a local lake. Overcast skies cast an ominous light over the lakeside, and on occasion the wind managed to snap our body heat away. Even still, it made for a beautiful, peaceful day. My body feels weary, but my soul restored.
PC : @flexiblebird Sometimes I have to stop myself from worrying about the future or beating myself up for not have done certain things in the past. (Seriously a constant reminder). There is no point in worrying about what hasn’t happened yet. And whatever I did or didn’t do, it’s already in the past. So forget about it!!. And maybe learn from it? Memories are wonderful and future plans are exciting even though most of the time they don’t turn out the way we imagine them. Sometimes they become better and sometimes they don’t. But ultimately we should only care about the now. Because whatever awaits for us in the future, we are gonna have to deal with it, whether we like it or not. So stop worrying and work on your positive attitude. It does help!! #howifeeltoday#ontopofthemountain#mountain_world#hikingphotography#visitcolorado#golden_shot#naturemakesmehappy#sunnydays☀️ #travelbabe#itscoldouthere
