A video from yesterday, when we were stuck between Chango and Nako for 4 hours!
At 10am we crossed the landslide at Sumdo, after nearly waiting for an hour before it stopped. My plan was to catch the 6pm bus from Rampur, and even though we were an hour late, there were still chances for me to catch it...before we saw the whole Hangrang valley completely white.
Lama ji said how it's not worth taking the risk and we should return, but we continued anyway.
The car started losing control as it got way too slippery, and that's when we all decided to dig up some dirt and cover the road with stones in order to create better grip. We kept doing this, until at one point the traveller completely lost control and started going towards the valley, we all panicked but luckily Lama ji somehow managed to control it and we didn't end up falling hundreds of feet below in the valley.
Just when we thought we are the only ones stuck, we saw two busses and many 4x4's stuck too.
After 30-40 of us who kept making the route drivable, we finally reached Nako at 3pm.
It was such an adventure, and I'm so glad I got to see Nako completely white! Literally the day before when I was going to Kaza, I just hoped to see Nako covered in snow, and it only took 24 hours for my wish to fulfil, that too in the most adventurous way possible! :')
