Mind remains in a fuzzy, sloshy, soft, squishy, bubbly state - irrespective of a dose of tender coconut water or the scotch on the rocks!
Zero tolerance to that ticking clock - complete surrender to the sloth in oneself.
No hurry - no rush - every thing to continue at its own pace!
Guess, I took all the above a bit too seriously. The son and I decided to experience an early morning fishing at the beach. We pulled ourselves out and dressed in the first possible attire at hand and rushed - lest we miss out on some fun! It was fun indeed.
The two dingy boats came close to the beach after placing the fishing net in the sea. At least a dozen local fishermen commenced pulling the net out of the sea in seamless precision - a few hotel guests too joined in. All this, while I found some giving me a funny look. Am I the only woman who is animatedly taking pictures of this fishing process? No, there were at least another 3 or 4! It was sheer bliss to see the silver scales shining in the net with the sunlight getting brighter. It was a frenzy of jumping, leaping, swimming, swaying fish in the net. Large, small, minuscule, stingray, squids, shrimps, pomfret, mackerel, et all. These fishermen are one efficient team! They sorted the fish, cleaned them and also transported all of it out of the beach in lesser than 30 minutes. The kiddo and I couldn’t contain our excitement and exuberance. And all this while, me being acutely aware of those queer stares. We also posed for pictures and enjoyed our early morning at the beach!
Upon reaching the resort room, I eventually realised the reason for those uncanny attention.
I wore my dress on the wrong side!
(Swipe to see the second picture to see me in action 😜)
Holidays definitely play fuzzy with the brain!
Cheers to many more ‘ulta pulta’!!
