S e l f L o v e
One of the most crucial things I’ve learned on my wellness journey is to have self-love. You know that I love to use natural beauty products and eat vegan healthy food, but in the past year I’ve gone beyond just putting healthy products on and in my body, and started nurturing my mental wellbeing. Of course, I eat healthy and use natural products as a form of self care too, but self love goes beyond that. It goes beyond simple self care for health and disease prevention. It goes into nourishing the spiritual and emotional.
This process takes w o r k. But it is the way to live a f u l f i l l e d l i f e. The most rewarding things in life are often not easy!
It is no longer acceptable to self-criticise. It is no longer necessary to expect anyone to love me properly.
Some of the things I’m committed to:
Be the person who gives myself the love and efforts I want.
No longer accept self-judgement but accept my mistakes, flaws and emotions with compassion.
Work towards the life I really want and know I deserve and am capable of it.
Regularly do the activities that ground me (go out in nature, have a relaxing bath, etc).
Believing in myself and my process.
Giving myself the space and time to heal and have balance in my life.
Being mindful of where my energy goes, because it’s limited and valuable.
Recognise how I want to be treated by others.
Not see how someone else treats me as a sign of my worth.
Notice and accept any suffering.
Not listen to “I’m not good enough” or “I can’t achieve what I want” thoughts.
Keep learning about and improving myself (I see a psychologist/ life coach/ therapist once a month who helps me identify my values, how to manage unhelpful thoughts/ anxieties and how to go for what I want).

In my wellness article for @thrive this month, l explore how the calming lifestyle trend Hygge (pronounced hoo-ga) —think chunky lit candles, a roaring fire, cozy socks🧦, hot cocoa and some love’in from the (kitchen) oven might best serve the 45th President of the United States. ♂️

Chiropractic is the method of natural healing most chosen by those seeking complementary/alternative health care for acute and chronic conditions.
While you may first visit a chiropractor to relieve pain in the lower back or to treat sciatica, neck pain, whiplash or headache, you will find that a chiropractor views you as a whole person and not the sum of your parts. A chiropractor will work in partnership with you to ensure your optimal health and wellness.
This little guy lost his mom and walked into our courtyard on national puppy day, despite our efforts to let him go he continued to find his way back in every time He loves snuggling up to my ankles and snoozing in the sun

Who doesn’t love Eucalyptus? Eucalyptus Radiata is another strain of eucalyptus and has the second highest abundance of 1,8 cineole (eucalyptol) after Eucalyptus Globulus. I’m diffusing this tonight because my respiratory tract needs some support. I’m loving it!
