Memories of my mentor always come back after every challenging moment I face. I always ask myself what would he have done? Then I ask myself, were my actions similar to his? My wisdom from management is mostly based on the things I've seen or experienced. I've never neglected my mentor. I may fight him, answer back and obviously feel hurt. But I never gave up on the projects assigned to me. My run with Manila FAME definitely proved my work but also trained me to respond correctly to situations. If you'd ask me for advise, look for a mentor. Don't look for someone to baby you. Look for someone who will throw you into a project so you will learn by doing. Look for projects that will get you out of your comfort zone. For me, it is not enough to be different, it is enough to be the best! Do everything better than your competitors!
Think about it, there are so many design graduates now. What separates you from them?
