Amazed by the spectacular coastline, breathtaking views and vast wildlife at my time at Fraser Island, it was such a shame to see the amounts of rubbish scattered along the pristine beaches.
The photo above was 10 minutes of picking up rubbish around our campsite left by others. It’s one thing to notice litter but it’s another thing to do something about it, it’s easy to say if everyone just cleaned up after themselves this wouldn’t be a issue, with Fraser Island being an island a lot of the rubbish is also washed up from the sea. Majority of the waste is tiny plastics, fishing lines and ropes which take 1000’s of years to beak down, in the mean time this effects the wildlife and environment. So next time your at a campsite, down at the beach or anywhere, take a small amount of your time to make a big difference to our future, can you imagine if everyone did this ? We could keep Australia beautiful. Because if we don’t, we won’t have these beautiful places to visit in the future.
P.S You don’t have to be a hippy or a greeny to pick up rubbish and live a conscious lifestyle
